I grant you that the evidence for his homosexuality is circumstantial. I'm not troubled, either way, he is one of the great writers in history.

Che specializes in ludicrous statements, but I would sure like to see him produce some concrete evidence that "hunting black people for sport" occurs today.

        Um . . . no.

It's alright for instance, for gays to use the word "******" among themselves in appropriate contexts, but for straights to use it, when they don't have a clue about what it's like to be gay in today's society . . .

well, they're better off not using that word.

Aren't homosexuals promoting usage of the word by using it themselves and trying to take the negative connotations out of it?

If they wanted straights to not use the word, they should probably stop using it themselves to prevent any interpretation that it could be 'ok'.

                  Imran simply is an *******.

The mods ought to have banned you and deleted that segment of posts from the thread.

Just because you wanted the thread to be deleted because you got 0wned doesn't make it okay.

                    Thank you .

Mr. Fun, I'm really interested in your answer to my observation that using these words allow it to be seen as 'ok' by some.

Oh, and Imran, about your question here . . .

heteroes are not showing us any respect by thinking they can use the word just because gays use it, without understanding in the first place, what it's like to be gay in society.

But doesn't some of it rest on those gays using '******' or blacks using '******' as a term of endearment... especially blacks using '******', because that word seems to be EVERYWHERE in music, etc.

White people can say cracker, black people can say ******, gay people can say ******.

It's a way of coping, for minorities. Somehow it means a lot to people when you turn an insult people use against you and use it freely with eachother. I don't suppose you'd understand, seeing as you go out of your way to mimick the people around you.

There's a difference between gays using the word "******" in appropriate context, and overusing it to the point of appearing to act stupid.

Also, when gays use the word "*** hag" it's not the responsibility for gays on how heteroes use/misuse that word -- that is out of our control.

Should we censor ourselves because we cannot control how others will use a certain word?

That is silly. Taking a 'slur' and 'turning into our own thing' is utterly ridiculous IMO. It just makes the term seem ok. I've never called a fellow Pakistani 'sand******' or 'dothead' so we can turn it around. We don't want to have it used at all, so us using it would defeat the purpose. It'd keep the slur around.
