I've recently been wondering why this conflict is such a big deal. I mean, a month in Israel/Palestine is equivalent to an hour in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Solving the war there is a thousand times more important than wasting time on the Middle East.

Its more important cose it takes place at an area holy for 3 world religions...
+ its not an usual type of war like you see in africa, its unique...
+ some semi-democratic (more or less...) country is involved in the conflict ... nobody gives a damn about
rebellion no. x in some african dictatorship...

Actually the IDF has tried on numerous occasions to arrest them. They have a nasty tendency to kill IDF when that happens though.

Now if the PA would seriously begin to arrest these people, then IDF wouldnt have to kill them.
