OK, start a pillow biting thread already.

Listen, my example was only to illustrate that there is such a thing as balance--if your wife has a ring in your nose, then you are either not communicating your own needs for space or whatever, or have indeed been too isolated and now are paying the price.

I solve the whole in-laws thing by getting in a huge fight with her mother and playing up the victim status as much as possible, so now she can't ***** because her mom is one!

Now, to take a look at the golf course I'll be playing....

To be honest (and this could be just how you wrote it), it seems that you (Japher) have a bit of difficulty telling your wife no.

My wife tells me the same thing in regards to her family - I then remind her of a few things:

        1. I work, she doesn't. If she wants to spend 4-5 days in S. Georgia, feel free to go. Otoh, if she likes to have gas in the engine and food in the fridge, I'm staying home. This option might not be available to you for obvious reason.
        2. It's not her family, it's the place that drives me to tears... if they lived in a REAL city (like, bigger than 7,000 people) it wouldn't be boring at all.
        3. She hates my family. Can't complain too much when you are even more guilty than the party you're *****ing to.

So Suzie is allowing you to play Combat Mission again? Or has she still got her foot down?

Is a Rest Woman the kind one picks up at rest stops along the highway?
                No, that's a Highway Hostess

My problem is not in telling her "no" my problem is that she has a way of making me feel bad that I did. Anyway, here family are flakes and since she didn't get home until late last night she was going to leave this morning. However, she has no idea where this video showing is going to happen and no one has bothered to call her since Wednesday, so she is sitting at home all mad at them...

Her dad is cool, we can chill, but her mom annoys the heck out of me. I still hold them responsible for her cousins attempted suicide and I just can't take the complaining from her mom... Also, since her sisters husband has been off to war it seems I have become the uncle that gets to baby sit the three boys everytime I'm there. I have no problem with this, I love those kids, it just gets a little tiring after a while (they play rough)

Anyway, it looks she might not even go now. Glad I didn't change my schedule around to accomidate something that probably isn't even going to happen.

If LTEC can put up with MTG then she deserves to be a goddess.

Threadjack: CM is awesome. I'm trying to find time to play it, but when I get the chance, it's great.

Although I'm still having problems using tanks. Infantry, no problem. But I always seem to lose at least half my tanks.

Just played the CMBB scenario pop guns and elephants playing the Russian side. Only lost 16 KIA and scored a major victory, but I lost three T-34s. Given what the Germans had, I figure I must be doing something wrong.

Hey, I've been playing for years and still am way too aggressive with my armor.
And yes, CM is truly an amazing game, unlike any other. I've just started to play CMBB myself....CMBO will always be my first true love!

                                Japher...sorry!
