Okay . . .
I am disgusted and revolted by those who want to use the massacre, the attrocity, for their political agenda.
Oh yes, 9/11 is the reason we had to into Iraq, even though the plans were being drawn up even before the massacre.
Meanwhile we pander to the perpetraters and funders of the attacks because we do business with them. But we should "never forget"
More than half of Americans think that the 9/11 attackers were Iraqis, though 15 were Saudis, led by a Saudi cleric, followers of an extremist Saudi varient of Islam, and funded with Saudi money. We should "never forget" but it's already gone down the memory hole. Quick, let's have no more talk of the Congressional Inquiry Report. Thank goodness for that blackout, down the memory hole.
Hey, we've done such a good job protecting America, let's have our convetion in the month of the massacre in the city where it hapened. We're honoring the fallen. Don't talk about how Homeland Security is underfunded. Don't mention that perpetrators are still at large in our "ally" Pakistan. Let's not talk about how we left Iraq's nuclear plants unguarded for weeks and only started doing so because locals were using barrels from the plant for water (and spilling radioactive material everywhere). How much has wound up in the hands of terrorists while we had our thumbs up our ass watching Iraq burn?
So whyare our troops dying overseas again? What was it we were supposed to never forget?
Those who would use this horror to further their own political ends are evil. Those who support them have no integrity. Those who don't care are just Good Germans.
