    Okay . . .

I am disgusted and revolted by those who want to use the massacre, the attrocity, for their political agenda.

Oh yes, 9/11 is the reason we had to into Iraq, even though the plans were being drawn up even before the massacre. Meanwhile we pander to the perpetraters and funders of the attacks because we do business with them. But we should "never forget"

More than half of Americans think that the 9/11 attackers were Iraqis, though 15 were Saudis, led by a Saudi cleric, followers of an extremist Saudi varient of Islam, and funded with Saudi money. We should "never forget" but it's already gone down the memory hole. Quick, let's have no more talk of the Congressional Inquiry Report. Thank goodness for that blackout, down the memory hole.

Hey, we've done such a good job protecting America, let's have our convetion in the month of the massacre in the city where it hapened. We're honoring the fallen. Don't talk about how Homeland Security is underfunded. Don't mention that perpetrators are still at large in our "ally" Pakistan. Let's not talk about how we left Iraq's nuclear plants unguarded for weeks and only started doing so because locals were using barrels from the plant for water (and spilling radioactive material everywhere). How much has wound up in the hands of terrorists while we had our thumbs up our ass watching Iraq burn?

So whyare our troops dying overseas again? What was it we were supposed to never forget?

Those who would use this horror to further their own political ends are evil. Those who support them have no integrity. Those who don't care are just Good Germans.

      Che, don't keep saying this.

"More than half of Americans think that the 9/11 attackers were Iraqis, "

      It isn't true.

Yea, and lets not talk about no hits on American soil since 9/11, or that we are daily routing and killing terrorists, or that we have taken the fight to them instead of here and protecting innocent American lives, lets not talk about a side effect of a better country for the Iraqi civilians or maybe a strong possiblity for freedom to grow in the ME, what we should really talk about is sitting on our thumbs, do nothing and wait for another major hit.

The FBI's #1 expert on al-Qaeda (O'Neil) was driven from his job by that bastard Freeh. Clinton appointed him to appease Congressional Republicans. Despite the warning signs, Freeh concentrated the FBI on drugs, and made O'Neil's job hell. Politics.

O'Neil was in charge of the invistagtion into the Cole boming, but was kicked out of the country by the Clinton appointed Ambassador because she wanted to be in charge. Getting credit was more important than getting the people who did it. Politics.

Connie Rice was told that their number one problem in the coming years would be Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda. They ignored it. When the evidence started to become serious, they created a position to cooridinate counter-terrorism efforst, but then passed over O'Neil. O'Neil had ruffled to many feathers. Politics.

          So he quit.

And took a job as cheif of security at the WTC.

He died on his first day at work.

Politics. "NEVER FORGET" both parties looked the other way and let this happen.

            Che,
You have no agrument from me on why this happened. The question is what do we do from here and I believe the actions we have taken is the correct path, no matter how grim the task looks, I don't see any other alternatives that will work.

Yes, because that's what we're really advocating, doing nothing.

Remember this, there weren't any major attacks on American soil before 9/11 either. I can lean up against a wall and say I'm guarding against elephants. The proof is there are no elephants here. Must be working.

Most state and local agencies are begging for the money they need to upgrade their ability to protect us. The Department of Homeland Security is underfunded and a chaotic bureaucratic mess.

By raising criticisms of what we haven't done, I'm really saynig we should be doing nothing. That's just an amazing deduction. Wow, you really got me. By pointing to the country and government that attacked us, I was advocating doing nothing.

              You people really amaze me.

How about the first attempt on the trade center??

Everything is underfunded and someone always needs more money.

To take no action is an action. Where is your answers, I haven't seen any.

Do you approve of flying bin Laden's brothers out of the country the day after the attacks before the FBI had a chance to question them?

Do you approve of censoring the Congressional inquiry on 9/11, so that the American people cannot see what their leaders did or didn't do?

Do you approve of the government lying to the American people?

Do you approve of having no backup plan for running Iraq in case the people who made Plan A were clueless idiots?

Do you approve of letting the Saudis get away with funding the people who attacked us?

Do you approve of us pandering to Pakistan and letting the NWT be used a a based from which the Taliban and al-Qaeda can launch attacks into Afganistan?

Do you approve of the the fact that the Karzi government is nothing more than the government of Kabul?

Do you approve of the fact that the US left a nuclear power plant ungarded for weeks, when anyone could have walked off with radioactive materials?

Do you approve of not giving the states and cities enough money to do their security jobs?

Do you approve of not giving the DHS enough money to do its job?

There are more than enough threads about Iraq... and current day events, and America bashing...

Stick to the topic, and take your current day political agendas somewhere else

Speaking of which, why was my post deleted? I was the only one on the page who tried to stay on topic, and my post didn't have any personal insults.

Yours was just caught up in the sweep of all the trash that I deleted after my warning...

But it seems like seem people haven't gotten the message yet that they should stay on topic.

I see some restrictions if it keeps up.
