It's very easy, stick your thumb in and push it up.

Mine is springy, all you need to do is crack it open a little and it opens the rest by itself.

And it's not that easy to break it, since it's stored folded...

From a design stand point I find the flip phones to be slightly better. The keys are protected when you're not using the phone so there is no chance they will get hit by something in your pocket and auto-dial someone at 3am. Also as Asher said the microphone is closer to your lips so less background noise is picked up plus the display & buttons can both be larger.

I have the same one, only slightly different. I find all the ringtones to be very lame and the animated backgrounds even worse. A fishtank?!? Jesus Christ man, thats like a 1992 screensaver. The phone itself is great, but had I known all its available sounds and appearances were this lame I wouldn't have bought it.

You can DL stuff for it, but thats a whole other service that one needs to be subscribed to. Hells no.

I am literally embarrased when my phone rings or someone wants to make a call on it. I have it set to vibrate then ring in hopes that I can catch it before the din. There is absolutely no hope of a cool background image. The least-stupid is the Advertisement screen for the company I use, but I dont want to look at an advertisement all day either.

All of this would've been avoided had the model phones at the store actually had batteries and one could see what they have.

Your phone company makes you subscribe for the download service?

I like the fish background, blue is my favorite color and it's very...blue.

My provider (Telus) lets you download ringtones and images individually. My ringtone is an Incubus song (Are You In).

Here in California you have to pay to down load ring tons as well. At least you can go to their web site and listen to them all before you pay for them.

Yeah, I have T-Mobile and they have these rediculous things called 'T-Zones". Its some stupid thing where you can talk to your other friends with T-Mobile service for free or less cost I guess. Only my drug dealer has T-Mobile, so I wasnt really interested.

Gimmie a sec... digital cam is out, pics in a moment...

Flip mobiles rule!!! Asides from making you think you're from star trek, they make the phones smaller, and wont dial stuff when in pocket.

I used to have a non-flip, and the keypad lock feature will prevent unwanted dialings, but it is a pain to have to unlock everytime you want to make a call.

Personally, I dig how small this one is. Asher, surely yours is this small too? I'm not sure what model this piece is.

Yup, that looks very similar to mine.

I dig how small & light it is too. And the screen is very bright and vibrant, far moreso than my brother's T720. And it's quite large too.

Here is the lame-o screen that I use. It goes under the name "night", however it is a lampost?

                          Other oddities:

"Digital Clock"- Is actually a digital Clock with a racecar in the background?

"Analog clock" is the same but with birds flying in the background.

"Lake" is actually a guy in a canoe.

"Sunset" is actually a sunset... with a lame animated boat going across.

It also has every single zodiac constillation.... except with a rediculous outline around each of them + their name spelled out.

The big selling point is that these wallpapers is that they are all animated... however, thats the problem. There really isnt a need to have them all do something stupid just to be flashy. OOoh Oooh, a dandilion with animated seeds blowing in the wind? WTF?

The ring tones arent even rings. They are all songs, lame ones at that too... God, I wish I had a Christina Aguilera wallpaper and some Led Zep rings. =/

It's definitely a different model than mine, the inside looks different and has different buttons. Plus I don't have any of those backgrounds, and have regular ringtones (10) as well as stock songs (20), and space for 10 downloadable at a time.
