      I don't know how it is in UK, but I don't know how Christians get new recruits.

                  Christian Rock, and other genres are, becoming big.
                  Seriously.
                  If you're just talking Hymns, I still think some are very good.

                      These artists are all "restrained," and it's all a part of the guilt complex that American churches especially bore into everybody from day 1.

                      Most Churches preach so much guilt and following the rules that everyone is afraid to let loose in fear of being judged or being a sinner. So everything is so watered down and steralized.

                      You know when people are full of spirit you can feel it. But all I see from these artists in an act on stage.

                          Well, if you're looking for something to make you feel happy, warm, and cuddly inside, I suggest you acquire a large pile of money so you can afford a heroin habit. Most religions stress a search for truth regardless of how you feel about it. If you try to fit your perception of reality to your personal feelings, what you are engaging in is not religion so much as voluntary hallucination, which is what most "religion" is today.
