Sava ain't worth their trouble. "President assassinated by stoner" is NOT a likely headline.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

I dont recall getting upset, I just offered a thorough rebuttal of your silly claims. I don't recall you having any coherent answer to my points. Trying to dismiss anyone who disagrees by claiming they are just "upset" is rather childish, ain't it?

            Ewwww, no.
The last thing we need is a man so obsessed with sex he'd boink even one of his interns, or a woman who is hell-bent on invading helpless countries like Iraq.

aren't those church memebers over there threatening to break apart from the U.S. church after they appointed a gay bishop?

Face it, the British are no more superior than the americans with regards to bigotry.

I don't see it happenning in the next 50 years. After that, anything is possible.
That's really the worst our churches have to offer - I think you'll find your Southern Baptists are worse, considering the CoE does actually allow gay people into the congregation and you don't see many funerals picketed over here...

So in reagrds to homosexuality, I'd say things in Britains are a teensy more enlightened....

well Boris, I could argue about your post in the other thread. But there is little point. Your mind is set, and so is mine.

It's all an argument about semantics and the definition of the word normal. I provided a definition of that word in the other thread.

There is nothing more to be said.

                    next topic please

It won't happen any time soon, and probably not in MY lifetime (assuming I live to be 60-90+). And that really is a shame that America automatically discounts presidential hopefuls based upon something as silly as sexual orientation, race, and gender. Mind you, it's not an active policy... it's more like an unofficial boycott.

                      don't forget to include religion.

Hmm motivated to say no in hope, but with the way western society is heading ... Nah something will have happened to America to set it back before we get that far.
Learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendant, and to embrace them is to acheive enlightenment.
