Technically, you're all lying, seeing as the ships you refer to do not exist at all...

The length of Home One is somewhere between 3.7km and 3.9km. The lower limit obtained using the Corellian corvette as a yardstick [below] falls within the range permitted by the shuttle results. The shuttle-based limits agree with the independent result from the scaling of the deck platform and A-wing fighter. The exterior width of the hangar hole in the hull is about 20% wider than the hangar interior, which is consistent with what is seen on the model.
Yeah, 12 falls between 10 and 15
No, the Eclipse was about 20 km, IIRC (I never read the comics). And, despite your pictures, watch The Empire Strikes Back again. The ISD's are clearly NOT a tenth of the Executor's length.
Also the site you provided talks about maritime convention when talking about the naming; however, a) maritime convention doesn't necessarily apply and b) it's not a Destroyer, it's a Star Destroyer.
Exactly, because it was the CLASS of Star Destroyer. The Super Super Star Destroyer?Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

No, we're referring to how they would exist in a hypothetical star wars universe.

Home One was about 3.8 km in length.

And yet... the Home One appears to be about the same length (only MAYBE a third longer) than the other Star Cruiser you see in Return of the Jedi.
Eh? Are you crazy? I suggest you check that one again.
Check what? The Eclipse, or the Empire Strikes Back? If the Eclipse then I may very well be wrong (as I said, all I know about it is from references in the novels). If the Empire Strikes back, I suggest YOU check it again.
I suspect the reasoning behind that is that so many other SW ships seem to fall under maritime nomclemeture. FWIW, Earth B5 ships are similiarly distorted, with "Destroyers" being signifigantly larger than "Cruisers"
Again, it's a STAR DESTROYER, not a DESTROYER.
Wait, are we agreeing or disagreeing on this one?
I'm not sure.

Well, his calcs are spot-on,so...
... an MC-80 must also be about 3 km! Come on.
Start from when we see the Executor passing over Vader's squadron. When the Squadron is approaching Hoth, there's a nice line up of the size-ratio. The Executor is way the Hell bigger than 8km.
FINALLY, after 15 minutes of searching, I've found a pic that actually has both an ISD and the Executor in one shot.
Notice that the ISD in the background is farther away, so it looks smaller than it actually is. 10 of those are definately longer than the Executor.
Oh, well...uh...right. Good show. I'm going to bed. See you tomorrow.

OTOH, I can see the conning tower of the ISD; I'm not sure I can say the same for the one on the ExecutorNo, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
