    Funny how the ass ignores the source I post on the collapse of the Russian military.

    The budget for the Russian military was $11 billion dollars.. I don't think you would even want to guess how much it was for the United States.. somewhere in the range of $290 billion.

                  but it does has its draw backs. It is a very complex, adn expensive weapon, and because of this few russian military will ever get their hands on one. It is also very ergonomically uncomfortable, which could be a huge disadvantage, or negligable depending on the situation.

                  However, its statistics overall are superior to the m-16. But in battlefield conditions, its complexity and expensive maintainance could make the weapons about equaly.

Regular army is withdrawing from Chechnya, because it's acomplished its mission (destruction of your beloved freedom fighter, terrorists, bandits, rapers, murders and other motherf*ckers as military force) YEARS ago. Currently there are only about 20 000 troops and they will be withdrawn soon too.
                    Fighting a stalemate exist only in your sick mind.

                      What made me laugh a lot was the fact that Russia´s entire military budget was $11 billion.. the US spends $11 billion sometimes on a single project...

                        THe US military has a budget of $299 billion dollars last I heard.

                            Yup.. it is around $9 billion. Considering our military isn´t over 200,000 that is actually quite impressive. It has been increased in the last year or two. Also our force isn´t full of badly trained conscripts... it is a volunteer only force. The Spanish Legion is one of the most rigorously trained in the world after the US and Britain´s elite units. Our main army is also well equipped spearheaded by a good amount of Leopard 2A4s.

                              "The Iraqi army closely copied the Soviet organization and tactics and was equipped with mostly Soviet-built tanks, aircraft and missiles. "
                              If you consider Iraqis army (equiped with 30 years old, export (weakened) designs) as twin sister of Russian army, you're hopeless.

                                Actually the Iraqi Army was being maintained with Russia´s help for years... even after the gulf war.

                                Also, I want to bring up the amount of your military again.. how can you maintain.. what is it.. 1.2 million enlisted in total with only $11 billion? Spain´s military is like 150,000 in total and its budget is $9 billion.
