In response to them changing it. I couldn't care less what they do. Maybe they will replace it with a nude picture of vanessa williams or maybe tyra banks. Surely that wouldn't offend anyone.

You should talk to Ming about the advertising game, Sprayber.
          I'd say you're a natural.

Caligastia's "Our Beloved Moderators" post is offensive and stereotypical to the moderators. It must be removed immediately.

EDIT: Wait...on second thought...that joke didn't pan out as funny as I thought it would. Meh...down with political correct!

I don't think people at the FCC would like my commericals.

That's one I haven't heard. The only connotation I have heard links the name to the story "Little Black Sambo", which was about an Indian boy and some tigers. The story was published in numerous editions around the world. Some of those editions published in the U.S. used drawings that made Sambo into an African boy (Tigers in Africa? Shhh!). Some of these drawing were pretty offensive by today's standards, and hence the controversey over "Little Black Sambo" in the U.S. AFAIK.

Btw, the restaurant chain Sambo's which had over a thousand stores when I was a kid was named after the two founders, Sam and Bo. They played up the "Little Black Sambo" connotation in their marketing, though they used the original Indian Sambo in their depictions. Nevertheless, they faced a lot of criticism about their name and marketing.

Yes -- even if the two people's names were Sam and Bo, they should not have played up the "Little Black Sambo" in their marketing.
