No, I am responsible. I don't go around having sex, just because I am biologically able to.

Maybe it would be more productive if the schools told kids not to kill each other

Just because kids have urges and are biologically able to have sex, doesn't mean they necessarily should.

The notion that since kids are going to do it anyway, we should just give them a condom and let them have at it, is ridiculous, and dangerous especially with the STD situation we have in the world.

The problem is that you're still learning correct English spelling.

Most of the people at my school did. Making them easily available and getting it through to girls that they'll end up with the short end of the stick of it goes wrong certainly helps.

yes, but not everyone is using them.

Sex ed is actively teaching kids about condoms and safe sex, and yet we still have a veritable epidemic in the US with unwanted pregnancies, STD's, and teens dropping out of school, etc...

So we are teaching kids about condoms, and we are still having a huge problem with unwanted pregnancies, STD's and other sex related problems. So, teaching about condoms must not be enough.
I think you have some serious misconceptions about what is and is not taught in sex ed. At least in my school, the focus is very much on abstinence. Condoms and birth control are mentioned only to highlight their ineffectiveness. No mention is made of how to use either or where to obtain them.

The school's spiel is simply not effective. I don't know any virgins that aren't either extremely religious or simply introverted.

The school really isn't changing anybody's mind about sex. It has a lot more to do with upbringing. Since people are so willing to take the risks in order to have sex, it would, in my opinion, be wiser to simply explain how one can minimize those risks, rather than simply rail against sex.

                                In the Biblical sense, obviously.
