Hey guys, what incentive do people anywhere have to learn about someone or something half way around the world? Mexicans could give a sh!t if the ME is the biggest exporter of oil and the French don't give a rat's a$$ about El Nino. You seem to think knowing this stuff matters...by that same token...if you don't know how to rotate crops or what pesticides to use in Kansas, you're the idiot. Let's plop you down in the Kalahari and see who the idiot is, you or the Bushman who doesn't know squat about your country but saves your life because you can't figure out what to do except pray for a Bushman to find you.

The Germans did better, I guess they know that Poland (other alternative) is not Sweden

They tend to visit there a lot.

Oh, and I got 20/20 of course...
Wrong about El Nino's effect on our weather and also wrong about our media attention about it. Are you an American immigrant perhaps?

Is that the general American attitude? If so, it explains a lot...

Whatever effects Euros feel because of El Nino are insignificant to what Pacific rim countries feel. Hell, we didn't even hear about El Nino when I was in high school back in the 70's, so I'm not surprised Euros have less knowledge of it.

According to that quiz, that's the general attitude of people everywhere (not that we needed a quiz to figure that out). IF the human brain has a limited capacity to absorb facts, is it smart to fill that capacity with irrelevant facts or focus on the facts that matter to your survival? Btw, you didn't answer my question...

Well, since I was in the Euro equivalent of your high school during the 70's and I learned about El Niño...

                  What was the question?

I don't think that when your country wages war against a country that it is asked too much that you know were on the map you can find that country...

That's nice, you heard the term then or actually learned what causes it and what it does to weather in Europe?

I am sure a lot of kids in Spain have learned about El-Nino, as well.

                        20/20, too easy

See? If you hadn't filled your brain with useless facts you'd have more room for things like reading comprehension.

Why? I didn't vote for these clowns, I vote for people who won't wage wars.

First one is a no, because no one knew back then, second one is a yes. We DO get an education over here...

Which ignores the point, Euros scored lower than Pacific rim countries for a simple reason - necessity.
