ADSL is your own private line so if you're seeing activity it's a sign of a potential problem. A cable modem is a shared line (in effect) so you can see activity if anyone else is using that line.

Yes, quite. I have had problems after not letting it connect.

Panag... windows services are the same on every computer. Anything that's not a windows service is not.

I don't like ZoneAlarm personally... I use the Sygate Personal Firewall Pro. Also DLL authorization, more info, and such stuff... and a less designed-for-even-the-most-clueless-user interface.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator
