I'm making embarrasing confession. I cry like a little baby when I listen to classical music. That's right. I don't cry for anything else though.. few months ago I realized that somehow it triggeres something. I just think it's beautiful that's all.. I don't tihnk about bad things when I hear it.. it's just so.. I don't know.
Just listening to chopins prelude in e minor op.28 no.4.. and being all sissy about it too.
But if you start making fun of me because of it, I'll hunt you down and kill you
Classical music has an effect on me as well.
The Coda from Stravinsky's 'Firebird Suite' really gets my blood pumping and gets me excited.
The soundtrack to 'Falcon and the Snowman' opens with a very moving choral treatment of Psalm 121 by St. Martin-in-the-Fields chorus. I may have gotten choked up listening to that once or twice...
Also, for something really interesting and disturbing in classical music, listen to Kronos Quartet perform George Crumb's 'Black Angels' - a piece written about the Vietnam War.
Any Shostakovich string quartet is moving and filled with passion.
