  • I need some new music.

My current play list ****ing pathetic, with some 220 songs or so ( some of them are full albums, but that's meaningless) Recommend me new music, new tracks that I'd download.

I like strong techno, Deftones-like hardcore, punk in healthy doses.

So apolyton, decide my fate. what will I listen to?

I'll recommend what I'll always recommend, that excellent band Firewater. You should be able to DL at least a few of their songs by Kazaa, try them.

Usually I listen to classic rock, alternative, or 80's but I've been known to listen to hip-hop and even country from time to time. Scary I know but it's what I listen to.

Last night I had NPR own and they were playing classic jazz from the 1920's and I actually kind of liked it. They played the original 1925 release of the Charleston which I had never heard before in its entirety. It was pretty fun and up beat but best listened to in small doses if you know what I mean.

I have got those ones already. Not counting the MP3's I've aquired on line I own some where between 200-250 CDs. Most of them were bought in Asia or eastern Europe so I imagine Time Warner is still waiting for their share of those transactions.

                      Albert,

people who arn't 'into' hip hop tend to group it under one roof.
IMO its like putting 'singing' as a single genre, OK maybe a slight overstatement, but.....

They're not like metallica or the deftones.

And yes, amazingly enough, you can get tired of Hip-Hop.

Oerdin: go see a doctor. Now.

Seriously, the only country music I know is "Cotton eye Joe", and Shanaya Twain. And I don't like what I see so far.

Azazel, give me example what kind of techno you like.

Albert Speer, as an expert, can you ID this track? I know it's almost impossible, but I'll give it a shot: it has a freaky piano line going all the way the track, and then vocals goes near the end 'mystery'.. but it's not a chorus line, he says it maybe two times. I know this is a crazy to ID, maybe impossible. It sounded a little like Blackalicious, though I'm not sure. I guess you don't have a clue with so little information?

Prodigy, DJ Tiesto, SOME catchy euro-dance-pop, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher....

Had an overdose of Triphop, as well, like DJ Vadim, DJ Shadow.....so I'd rather keep it low.

I ADORE Prodigy. I think they made GREAT music. I wish they'd continue doing music as classy as that.
