I'm a guy. I can care less where I live. Right now I live in a manufactured home to save money. Long as it's clean and not filled with pests and rodents, that's fine by me. I also like to live in a halfway decent neighborhood. Actually I love my neighborhood now, because all my neighbors are old people
. Nice and quiet- no loud music to annoy me. And I don't have to worry about noisy little kids that will grow up to be teenagers that break into my house (most teens in my city have no morals)

An energy-efficient, enviromentally-designed, self-house near an empty road, in a place where desert or jungle meets the sea. If situated on an island, it better be a jungle. Otherwise, I'd prefer the desert, with it's breathtaking views. a small shallow lagoon where my Yacht will be anchored.
The house will be a 3-story building, with a large greenhouse near it.
Half of the ground floor will be an entrance hall, with stairs and an elevator leading to the upper hall. Also, there will be a large guestroom. It would be neatly decorated.
There will be a study and a 3 bedrooms on the second floor. The study would have an elevator of it's own to the basement, which we be the place of my Laboratory, and my various toys. In two separate rooms, of course.
Only a quarter of the 3rd floor would be under a roof. That quarter will house the kitchen. The rest would be the place for a dinning table, and a pool.
Also, there would be a garage, with two cars, one of them a sports car, and the other a 4x4. Both would be Fuel-Cell fueled.
some 50 meters away, there would be a Helipad, and a hangar near it, with a VTOL aircraft parked in it.
I could also say that all of this would be meaningless without the beautiful woman I'd love greatly, who'd be the mother of my 3-4 great kids. But there is no point in describing them.
