I was not going to bother with this thread, but here goes.

    1) Do NOT knock someone down when they're already feeling down here on Apolyton.

    2) Stop thinking you're cool because you started a dozen or two dozen threads about yourself.

    3) Stop being a jack*ass -- learn to be more open minded about other people who have different opinions on whatever issues are being discussed.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

No names, no packdrill... probably a wise move MrFun.

MrFun never seems to figure out Evan either.

Thorn, you need to be more casual and less bombastic.

Expand your online circles. There are some good newsgroups out there for one thing.

Ask yourself, are you well-liked in real life? If not, why not?

                  Okay, serious response:
-The ignore list exists for a reason. If people do nothing but raise your blood pressure, and you just can't bite your tongue, discard the temptation to be a jerk by blocking it out.
-Bear in mind that the nature of the internet is such as to bring out everyone's inner sand-kicker, because you can say anything(in most circles) without fear of repercussions. This means firstly that you should take everything said by everyone as hyperbole, and secondly that everyone on the internet is considered a probable ******* by others until proven likable. All anyone has to go by are your typed "actions." Don't expect anyone to respond constantly or instantaneously. Your recognizable face is a block of text and graphics on the left-hand side of the screen. So howdy, stranger.
-Admitting your own shortcomings is acceptable, and even likable provided you have some sort of British accent. Advertising them gives people the willies, as IRL that kind of thing is usually the mark of the kind of deranged social parasite one reads about in Ann Landers; the kind of person who derives significant personal satisfaction from sucking, leechlike, the joy and natural comfort of sympathizers around him/her by constant reminders of his/her morose presence. I'm not saying you are such a person, but *****ing about your misfortunes to strangers who logged on for recreational purposes is a definite faux pas.
-Lastly, you probably know this already but *don't pretend anything*. Be yourself for a very good reason. The people on any given forum represent such a diverse body of experience and background that it's pretty much guaranteed that someone will catch you if you put on airs. And phony-whooping is terrific sport for everyone.

                    -
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
