What makes people online fun to talk to? I used to think it was humor and being interesting. But I'm starting believe that's not the case. Take me for example. I'm blocked by 5 people, and ignored by about 10 others. I still think I'm funny (though I'm starting to see a big backlash, I'm not going to get into this any further got my last thread deleted the other day)... and I sure as hell have some differing viewpoints.... but that doesn't seem to be enough.
Perhaps societies rigidness on conformity and pressure to be normal, means that what makes good conversation online is normalicy?
And that is something I am far removed from me it seems... is this the weakness?
Or perhaps there is a growing disjointed apathy among people online, that removes in their eyes virtual people from being alive and nothing more then text on a screen? And this disconnected sentiment causes people to lose interest in conversation alltogether and instead focus themselves on tangible people, not virtual buddies.
(or maybe I whine to much?)
Thoughts?
