Yeah, Flanders was at the top of my list. The preacher too...

Actually, that was another Indian convenience-store clerk, in the episode where they used Flanders's beach house. And it's *Maude* Flanders.
I'm too tired to be tactful.
Too-tired-tactful. Great. Even when I'm not trying I'm alliterative.

        any of Phil Hartman's characters.

        Especially Lionel Hutz.

        I miss phil Hartman

I really do think the simpson's are hurting partly because his characters are gone.

I always liked the Comic store clerk, perhaps because there was always someone just like him working at the comic store when I was a kid.
          He's got the Midas touch.
But he touched it too much!

Well, they are all very, very good characters.

For some reason, Krusty is my favouite. Maybe it's his blatant 2 faced hypocrisy.
Some cry `Allah O Akbar` in the street. And some carry Allah in their heart.

Seriously... you left out Duff Man! That poll is bunk.

This should have been a multi-choice poll so I could vote for all of them.

Honestly, the reason why The Simpsons is the best TV comedy show ever is because, unlike other great series like Seinfeld, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers (and others) it doesn't just have 4-6 great characters: it has 25-30! Awesome!

How how how how how how how how HOW did you not put Dr. Nick on that poll????!!???

"Don't worry, you won't feel a thing....until I jam this down your throat!"

"The most rewarding part was when he gave me the money"

"Just look at these x-rays. You see that dark spot there? Whiplash. And this smudge here that looks like my fingerprint...no, that's trauma!"

"The coroner, I'm so sick of that guy."

"The knee bone's connected to the...something. The something's connected to the...red thing. The red thing's connected to my...wrist watch. Uh oh."

Man: "Among the 160 gravest charges are: performing major operations with a knife and fork from a seafood restaraunt."
Dr. Nick: "But I cleaned them with my napkin."
                    Man: "Misuse of cadavers."
Dr. Nick: "I get here earlier if I use the carpool lane."

                    "Don't worry....it's IN-flammable!"

and of course the companion quote

"What kind of a country is it where flammable and inflammable mean the same thing?"
The accent's great too...it makes the character.
"Although I may disagree with what you say, I will defend to the death your right to hear me tell you how wrong you are."

                      Leonard Nimoy!

Good evening, I'm Leonard Nimoy. The following tale of alien encounters is true. And by true I mean false. It's all lies. But they're entertaining lies, so in the end, isn't that the truth? The answer is "no."

Damn, I wanted The Sea Captain but you excluded him. Troy McClure would be my off-list choice, then, with Smithers or Dr. Hibbert my on-list one.

                                Favourite Sea Captain quote:
*looks mournful* "Harrrr.... I don't know what I'm doing"

I use that one a lot in real life (it crops up kinda regularly with me ), with the accent and everything. The people who don't recognise the reference immediately lose all my respect.
