No worries LOTM, I'm 98% sure it was a wild guess. Not impossible, but it's a guess nonetheless.

That was my going to be my guess as to who is killed anyway .. either him or Neville. They seem like the two most likely possibilities.
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

I'm reading this thread post-Ming-edit, and I have to say - Thanks Ming!

I'll be in line tonight at the book store.

Oh, and to those that think they're too old for Potter...I started reading them shortly after the second one came out, and I'm now 29. If you have imagination, I think you'll like the books, regardless of age.

My daughter is going to a Harry Potter party tonight, where she'll pick up her pre-paid copy a little after midnight, depending on how long the line is.

              Never.
I tried to read the first one--gave it up about 40 pp in. For those of you who like this sort of stuff, enjoy!

I'll look to see if it is on the shelves tomorrow... but if not I can wait until early next week (at least I think I can ).

My Wild Guess is that the SAS are going to storm Hogwarts, and show the wizards the power of MP-5N's.

So young and gullible. My (serious) wild guess is going to be that Voldemort wanted to specifically kill Harry, not the Potters. Why he wanted to do this, I have no real ideas, but the evidence seems to point to it.

Gullible maybe, young on the other hand
And hey, a lot can happen over a period of 4 books...

                              they are children's books dammit!

unless there is massive drug use, and orgies with men, women and inaminate objects, massive amounts of dark violence, and even more dark humour- I'm not interested

Your're going back to Grimm's Fairy Tales, then?
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
