    Panag, let it rest...
These things happened over 60 years ago, time to move on...
And don't go down the road of the 'jewish are always the victim 'either, others have suffered too during that period...

And FYI he isn't a mayor anymore, he now is the president of flemish goverment... ( I don't like him either, but not for the reasons you are bringing up)
( uhoh, another Belgian scandal coming up.. )
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

      hi ,

people are still waiting for compensation , ....... 55 years is along time to get a small "handout" , .....

some people still have problems about certain police officers from antwerps 4th district , .....

btw , if correct he only left his mayor offices "untill later notice" , that means he can always pick it up when he wants , ......

scandal , ..... nope , he just aint worth it

neither are the other ones who did things that the daylight should not see , but the fact remains that lots of people where executed right after the war while they where innocent , ..... and the guilty ones escaped , .....

like dessain for example he was on the city counsil of mechelen in wwI , now they name streets after him , while he has blood on his hands , ..... it just aint right , it gives a bad taste , ....

and no , this is not about being Jew or not , many people died who where not jewish , its for them also , ....

thats why that commision should start asap , .... to many old wounds are still left open today , its time to close them , ......

      have a nice day

        An update on the subject:

Belgium will not make any changes to the genocide law (which handles more than just genocide) to suit the needs of the USA.

In stead, any American visiting Belgium will receive automatic immunity to this law.

That is how we solve problems in Belgium.
        veni vidi PWNED!

He means, anyone charged but on official business in belgiam will receive immunity.

And they will change the law but are trying to save face at the moment. ( we just have had elections and they are forming a new goverment... )

Nah, a typically Belgian solution, and I'm not kidding.

The result of 160 years of compromise.

No, that's the Belgian way. IIRC, it was the same with death penalty : it remained legal quite a long time, but wasn't applied at all for years
