Hey, it wasn't my list! I only included it because it was heaps better than the original crap posted. If you read back far enough, you will see that i posted that comparing different genres and periods was pointless.

Dare i ask, what's your list? All Pet Shop Boys and Bronski Beat? Okay, that was low, but Frankine Goes To Hollyowood was pretty cool for it's time

How's THAT for a freudian slip?! I'm sure the lead singer qualified as Frankine

Hey lung - whoever wrote that list was a total TOOL.

There are some CRAPPY songs on it - such as Hurricane, for one example. There are DOZENS of better Dylan songs, and "Golden Years"??? There are dozens of better Bowie songs as well!

Listen to the oldies station much, Berz?

If you're gonna list oldies, at least list good ones, like Blind Faith and Jefferson Airplane.

Sorry, I was under the impression we could go back only ~25 years so I tried to keep within the poll's boundaries even though a couple may be a bit older.

Btw, nothing by Blind Faith or Airplane would make my list.

The Moody Blues are within 25 years??? Just because they refuse to leave Vegas doesn't mean their material is fresh...

Are you insane??? Blind Faith is so incredible! And Airplane!!! Embryonic journey! Oh, and the only good stuff Kansas EVER did was on their first album...

I guess we'll have to chalk this up as a clash of different tastes...

                      (Bohemian Rhapsody = OVERPLAYED)

As I said, a couple of my picks might be a bit beyond 25 years. And by definition, anything 25 years old isn't "fresh". I notice you didn't actually cite anything by Blind Faith.

When you know as many good songs as I do, some sacrifices must be made...

If I were to choose a blind faith, "sea of joy" would be it.
For Kansas, my choice would be "Journey from Mariabronn"
From the Moody Blues - "Gemini Dream"
Springsteen - "The E Street Shuffle"
Pink Floyd - "The Great Gig In the Sky"

I increasingly find Queen, Rush and Lynyrd Skynyrd to be increasingly tedious and tiresome as I have aged.

Each song should be judged on it's own merits -- OVERPLAYED should not be a factor.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

I agree, it isn't the song's fault people like it. Oops, that was what the poll was about.
