If that's true, . I always wanted to see the ****er dead.
Here's a report about the dismantling of the outposts :

that logic doesn't work with the "war on drugs", Oerdin... Why would it work with "terror"? Whenever you chop off a head, a new one grows and takes it's place.
because one is about economics, and one about politics. Drug suppliers stay in business because their is a demand for drugs - which is caused by the situation among drug users. Terrorism (where it is deeply rooted - analgous to drug war) is driven by social and political situations. Situations which are themselves exacerbated by terrorism. By physically destroying the terrorists, one may create the space to fix the social/political situation. If by destroying drug suppliers one could create the "space" to solve the drug demand problem, the drug war would be a good idea. If not, not. OTOH if by physically destroying terrorists you worsen the political/social situation, then this will not be effective. It must be examined on a case by case and act by act basis.

Excellent post LotM. It is very true, that one should never forget to deal with the fundamental causes of the problem as well with the current manifestations of the problem, rather than to focus on only one side of the scope

Spiffor, I have been thinking about this for awhile and I must agree with your post. The very serious problem with this peace plan is that it calls for and end to "terrorism" as a first step while deferring to a time later issues fundamental to Hamas and the other terror groups: the RoR, Jerusalem, etc. This was the same problem Oslo had, it deferred the serious discussions 'til later. When those discussions failed at Camp David, the current war began.
If one hopes to gain the "cooperation" of Hamas, the serious issues must be addressed first. If they are addressed, I assume that Hamas and the other terror groups may agree to a cease fire.
Why this "Road Map" look so much like Oslo II is literally incomprehensible. It is almost as if the drafters could learn nothing from experience.

have a nice day
Good. You implement the Road Map by tearing it up, drawing up your own Road Map and proceeding accordingly. So long as you keep using the "word" Road Map, the Europeans and the Bu****es will be happy.
