True, it's the other way around. Or atleast the workers support those who live off of dividends.

That's the point, my employer isn't supporting me.

Isn't it my responsibility to support myself? Why should my employer or my state have responsibility for me? This is what I mean by the lack of responsibility.

If you won't work well, you will be fired. If you will be fired you won't recieve money for long, so you'll have to get yourself a job. But your kids will have education, no matter what happens to you. And you'll all get healthcare.

Employment is a contract between myself and my employer. My employer is not better than me, and it is morally wrong to transfer responsibility for my life to him because of a simple economic contract. It is the duty of neither the state nor my employer to support me, because I have responsibility for my own life.

State education or healthcare on basic levels is acceptable, and may even be desirable, but abolishing capitalism seems to me to be a fundamental rejection of basic moral principles, as most morality is based on the idea that we are responsible for ourselves and our own actions. Communism seems to propose that others in our soceity are beholden to help us, and we do not have responsiblity for ourselves. To me, that is morally indefensible.

Could you explain this outside of the context of the discussion you are having with Azazel. I agree that Azazel's ideal system may be a little light on the personal responsibility area.

No one wants to do that. Don't be ridiculous.

Well, then, consider this a contract between yourself, and society. If you will be a productive, functional member of it, you'll recieve it support. If you won't, Your life will suck.

State education or healthcare on basic levels is acceptable, and may even be desirable, but abolishing capitalism seems to me to be a fundamental rejection of basic moral principles, as most morality is based on the idea that we are responsible for ourselves and our own actions.

Sure you're responsible of your own actions. This is not about it at all. I am not suggesting that you can just lie and do nothing while being fed.

Communism seems to propose that others in our soceity are beholden to help us, and we do not have responsiblity for ourselves.

Why can't the two things exist simultaneously? You have to work well, but generally society will be friendlier, without destructive competition, only productive one.

Which part don't you understand, the 'paid' part, or the 'for nothing' part?

All of it. Who are the people getting paid for nothing, and why is anyone paying someone for nothing?
