The longest I have walked in one go is Dartford to Sevenoaks in the middle of the night after all the buses and trains had stopped running. I could have got a cab but fancied the walk (and was out of cash).
Well I walk a lot myself, but that day in Leeds wasn't a good one as I had been puking up all night long with a stomach bug

        What's EiF's and Bucks excuse?

              • OK, I've been test driving and 7 pints seems to be a good place to talk to complete strangers (wahey got the phone number of this fit new barmaid at my local), so I might keep it under £40 if I go to London

As for longest walking in a city, I'd like to put in my 3rd and 37th street to top of Central park (110th street?) to that aircraft carrier back to Times square down to Wall street and back to the hotel on 3rd and 37th as my personal best.

In London, probably from whatever the last tube station is to Sutton. Took about 2.5hrs.
