Kidicious, the US is an attractive place to invest because of lower corporate taxes than in many countries in Europe. In France and Germany taxation is horrendous, especially corporate taxation. And the rest of your arguments are at best silly and baseless. You have no concept of that a weak dollar would lead to more US exports, thus driving up the manufacturing sector. Also your arguments on the US Dollar losing status is even more silly. That is not possible in any way.

I suggest taking economic courses before spewing this crap. I had to take one.. university level... I scored 4 out of 5 on the Macro, and 5 out of 5 on the Micro. Some may think.. well Fezzie doesn't have any credibility or knowledge on the subject, think again.

All I know is my father in law in Moscow is really unhappy. He gets paid in dollars.

While the Euro rises against the ruble, the dollar sinks. That means less take-home pay for him thanks to being pinned to the "key currency".

You tell me how things work then. Start with the trade deficit.

Kidicious, don't talk to me about international trade. I had to do reports up to my arm pits on that. Those two words make me cringe. I know all there is to know. You obviously have been mistaken. You do not know what a weak currency is and its after effects. A weaker currency increases exports thus providing a boost to the manufacturing sector.

You certainly haven't backed up your theory of how exchange rates or the US economy would crater based on less use of the dollar as a medium of exchange outside the US.

P.s. You and Fez are about matched. I know at least enough to know what I don't know. You and Fez are ignorant enough not to know that.

Oh, and by the way, whats your econ background?

Ouch, GP take it easy on me... I wasn't attacking you. I am sure you got a better econ background than I do.

I answered all the quesions that you asked. If you have more questions go ahead and ask. I don't know everything about it, but I haven't made up anything. You don't have to agree with me about how bad it would be for the world economy, but you should understand that there would be negative consequences.

Read Paper Money by Adam Smith (George J. W. Goodman) if you want to learn more about it or understand what I've been talking about.

What exactly have you been saying, kidicious? All of what I been saying is standard with currency strength/weakness. It is a fact that a weaker currency will induce further growth in the industrial sectors. To deny this is pure ignorance. That is all I have been saying.

That's true, but it also reduces the foreign investment that come into your country. The US gets more foreign invesment because foreign investment is the natural place for the dollars that leave the US.

Foreign investment=Trade Deficit-Currency held outside the country
