    Turn 6 ==> Breaker

We in Wales wonder why our two closest neighbours have yet to shed their heathen ways?

Perplexed and disturbed, we consulted our Lord Almighty, seeking guidance on the path we should take.

"Give them more time" spake the Lord, "And truly thy neighbours shall see tis wise and just to follow my footsteps. But should they continue to endulge in their heretic manner, then missions shouldst thou establish, and spread the word of the Lord".

    Cariad,
    Demosthenes.

The King was away for a well earned rest for a couple of days. Although we appointed a regent in our stead we are not sure whether he fulfilled his duties. Rest assured that the problem is now aleviated.

        To the fun loving Welsh....
The Kingdom of Australia admires courtly speech as much as any nation, but the messages must also fulfill their role, and actually carry a message. Was you last post perchance directed at us? Our monarchy plays a progressive and open minded role amongst our people. All beliefs and rituals find refuge within our walls, and we consider it unseemly to mock the ways of others.
As we are close neighbors, I'm sure you can understand my peoples confused reaction to your most recent post. What are you trying to say?

Greece also wonders who the Welsh were talking to in their recent statement about religion. Surely it could not have been us.

In Greece, we are very religious, and rely on the protection and generosity of Zeus to help our people.

We indeed feel blessed by the bounty we have received from Olympus.

            Turn 6/7 -> St Jon

The day is fast approaching for Hextapul to be revealed to his people. The women of the Empire are eager to catch a glimspe of his fabled handsomeness, children look forward to someone to emulate, and wise men long to hear his wisdom on all subjects, as they pertain to the world.

In other news, word has reached the capital that the Spanish leaders have sent out a emissary with the past reputation of murdering innocent Incan children and plundering Incan cities of their gold. Hextapul has decreed that the Spanish leaders be taken off the Incan Christmas card list.

Hextapul has also noted the calls of several leaders of the world to unite under a single religion, some by forcible persuasion. Freedom of the choice of worship is to be protected - though the true path of eternal bliss is through the 'Light of Cuzco' - we let all mankind the freedom to choose to follow this path, for it is not us who will be the judges for God, but God himself will judge - it is His hands alone and we do not presume to take that responsibility.

            Hextapul has spoken!

              Beloved Children,

All may believe they have found the 'True Path' but in France it is known that alone of all peoples they have the direct phone line.

              Blessings

                Great Hextapul,

We apologise if our chosen explorer is unsuitable...

Tomas de Torquemada would be beside himself with sorrow if he were to be struck off the Inca Christmas card list...

                Our oversight will be corrected!

Ah, the word of God can be cryptic, can it not? Then again, we would not expect the heathen of the heretics among you to understand divine inspiration anyway...

If you are so eager to have us converted Demosthenes, there are much easier ways to do it. The gift of your Enlightened Theocracy would surely not be turned down, and I'm sure all receiving this gift would immediately embrace your beliefs

                      Turn 7 to Hextapul

                      Tomas of Spain:

We grow weary of your trespassing on what is clearly the ancient land of our ancestors. Perhaps your man is unaware of his true location, in which case we would request that you enlighten him. He is perhaps a tad too "inquisitive".

So we hope he will leave peacefully. For while a lone Greek Warrior is obviously no match for a Spanish Knight, he has many friends back in Athens who care deeply about his welfare.

                      ---------------------------------------------------------------------

As we view the current state of the world, the dangers of the intertwining of chuch and state become ever more apparant to us as nations squable over who has the ear of God.

In Greece, we feel we have an edge, reasoning that as we have so many more Gods than some of our neighbors, there is a better chance at least one of our Gods are listening and feeling generous at any give moment!

We appreciate the revised stance and apology of the Spanish Empire - however, we hope that the Spanish Empire does not now decide to send the explorer Cortez to look for Our sacred capital instead - it seems that many of these Spanish 'explorers' are willing to stoop to violence for the greater 'good' of Spain - and at the expense of Mesoamerican cultures, We might add.

I am basing these statements on proven historical fact.

For now, they are reinstated to the Incan Christmas Card List, but We remain wary and watchful...it is also noted that the Spanish seem to have a powerful military unit abroad now too - compliments of a pile of ruins, We wager.

The Spanish Republic has been troubled by recent events...

Firstly we were not aware that we were trespassing in Greek territory...? This claim does seem a tad unfair given the fact that our humble Knight is closer to a Spanish city than the nearest far off Greek metropolis...

Secondly there seems to be a degree of suspicion emanating from the legendary nation of the Incas. Madrid is most grateful of our reinstatement to the Christmas card list, but is still sad that our embrace of friendship is being kept at arms length...

In order to cross this diplomatic divide, the Queen, Isabella herself has agreed to make the perilous journey in order to seek the friendship of the Incas and show our new path of understanding...

                              Wise Tomas of Spain:

The Spanish city you speak of appears to be the result of rapid early expansion toward the ancient lands of the Greeks.

Our message is merely to inform you of our intention to build on those lands that were claimed by our ancestors so very long ago.

We hope for good relations as we live in close proximity , and are a peace-loving people.
                              -------------------------------------------------------------------

And as Greece continues to undergo the last throes of Anarchy, we are surprised to learn that the two cities farthest from our capitol have suddenly increased their happiness by a large number. It appears that they are cities FULL of Fervent Anarchists, who delight in the disorder that the rest of Greece merely tolerates!

We must hope that the imminent return to a more rigid form of goverment doesn't send these free spirits into an existensial crisis!
