Turn 83 -> Phil
Things are humming smoothly - The Aztecs are a happy group.
Maybe if the Vikings sent some gold to the Dutch, they would be more receptive to diplomatic overtures.
Just a thought...Yes, let's be optimistic until we have reason to be otherwise...No, let's be pessimistic until we are forced to do otherwise...Maybe, let's be balanced until we are convinced to do otherwise. -- DrSpike, Skanky Burns, Shogun Gunner

Turn 83 -> Phil
I hope that if the Dutch do not respond to monetary gifts, that the Vikings will not hold the Aztec people responsible for their actions - it was only a suggestion.
As the Dutch people saw fit to expel a Aztec diplomat, we have seen fit to do likewise. Fair exchange, it seems.
The Aztec banking community is abuzz with an exciting new development in the field of economics. After the collaspe of the Labyrinth, the government vigorously pursued a development in the areas of market speculation. This new innovation will be revealed to the world next turn. Although not as powerful as similar developments in non-Apolyton aligned worlds, this wonder will greatly aid the Aztec people to a new era of wealth.

Turn 84 -> Phil
The Aztec nation unveiled to the world a new concept in free enterprise, calling it the London Exchange. The government has taken extraordinary steps to ensure that the Aztec people can maintain the high standard of living that they had grown accoustomed to under the Labyrinth.
Additional funding will now be available to researchers in the realm, as they pursue their quest for new and exciting developments.
We also extend the hand of greeting to the Romans, who have proved to be noble of character. A fine gift indeed!!Yes, let's be optimistic until we have reason to be otherwise...No, let's be pessimistic until we are forced to do otherwise...Maybe, let's be balanced until we are convinced to do otherwise. -- DrSpike, Skanky Burns, Shogun Gunner

Turn 84 to Kris
I hit 'end turn' on the Dutch and sent the gamefile to Kris. Until I hear from Tom regarding his status, I will continue doing this, so as to not screw up his troop positioning. Since he is not under any guidance (human or AI), all players please refrain from taking an opportunity to grab some easy territory.Yes, let's be optimistic until we have reason to be otherwise...No, let's be pessimistic until we are forced to do otherwise...Maybe, let's be balanced until we are convinced to do otherwise. -- DrSpike, Skanky Burns, Shogun Gunner

Turn 85 -> Dave
Apparently, Tom had already deleted turn 84 on his pc, so it was no use for me to wait for his turn. I have proceeded with the game where Don has 'ended' Tom's turn.
The Aztecs may notice a humble Viking vessle near one of their longships.
This ship is on a diplomatic mission to establish an embassy with the Aztecs.
(And bring gifts to appease the mighty leader, of course.)

Turn 85 -> Phil
I say that we keep the game going now, as replaying the turns will cause more delays.
It shouldn't be too critical anyhow.
We look forward to meeting with the Vikings in a diplomatic setting.Yes, let's be optimistic until we have reason to be otherwise...No, let's be pessimistic until we are forced to do otherwise...Maybe, let's be balanced until we are convinced to do otherwise. -- DrSpike, Skanky Burns, Shogun Gunner
