Hello old master, LOL .. yes it is Dragon here, I remember the first time I saw PIN in the lobby, Merlin and some other names floating around him and PIN bragging " I just won a tourney for best in the world, I am the best in the world" that statement really encouraged me to become great also.True there are some great players still out there(TAL,Tito,Kansas,Minh,Paradox,Sane,just to name a few) that have not joined up, and I wish they would come back at least for this. So PIN if you can get anyone please do, and I hope you join also.

I seem to really like the map that JBTW is making. I'm confident the best players will win.
Pin, are you joining this competition? Actually, you went here half a year before me, so we've probably not met. At least when I started things out here I don't remember you - did you stop posting after some time or what?

Pin! Solver will govern who enters! - Therefore it will not take two years to complete- Only the best in the world will be allowed entry - I think no more than 14 or 15 will finally be in... I think it will take 6 months to complete - I do not think a Tournament tells you who is the best in the world- if you read the complete thread you will see why ..... There are certain players here who have a very different play style, which really confounds certain people... The idea is we see who has the most robust strategy against every other player.. Matches can overlap - whereas a tournament is complete round by round...He's back after a fashion...

May I suggest that you start discussing the rules - I think you need a list of every exploitable bug / trick / cheat which I'm sure some experienced player could provide. So far I think you've excluded rush buy switching, but I'm sure there are others (Incremental rush buying comes to mind - i.e. rush buying repeatedly in the same category rather than switching e.g. from improvements to buildings - I would think that this is much harder to police).

Yes, but I myself don't know and thusly can't list all the exploits. However, this is probably the only point in which I am not going to accept anything else than complete denial of all exploits - rush buying, terrain improvement building, etc.
What we need is a list of things that can be trated both as exploits and normal things in the game.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

Rush Buying is pretty straight forward.... You may never RUSH BUY then switch category - that is between units, structures and wonders - Policing will be straight forward - There has to be a turn by turn save submitted to moderators who will scrutinise each of the 140 or so gmes that will be played.... probably the best moderator would be the player that lost the game!!
There are other cheats, like the use of slic commands in the chat window.. they are all detectable - I doubt if anyone will attempt to cheat as they will not get away with it... and anyone that does, I imagine it will be the end of their CTP gaming for good.He's back after a fashion...

I really hope that all the participiants are fun mature people, and will not cheat. Here's my take on rushing: if you buy something, you complete whatever you bought. Simple really.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

CHEAT OR HOAX Courtesy of cheatingplanet.com
Don't tell me you are not familiar with this old SLIC trick:
trigger 'DOR_T_Give_Gold' when (IsHumanPlayer(g.player) && (player.1.gold<=200000))
{
AddGold(g.player,1000000);
}
Now everytime the human player runs out of gold (< 200000), he gets 1 million more.

Another thing - someone said that in the case of a draw (in number of wins) you could have a playoff. It might be easier to favour whoever won when they played one another. In either case another strategy might be needed in the case of a 3 or more-way draw. If you play them all off against one another they might still draw again. Do you just repeat until they don't?
