It comes to a pretty pass when a colonial starts to give lessons in English grammar! Just as a suggestion, could you remind Microsoft that there is no such thing as 'US English' and that whilst there is a time and place for it the humble 'z' has not supplanted the 's'.

Lol Jon! Well, no one else was helping TheBirdMan! You just let him make mistake after mistake without saying a word. I was waiting for you to jump in with the proper Queen's English correction, but nooooooooo! The colonials, once again, have to step up to the PLATE (as we say in Colonialville)

edit: And Jon, you forgot the comma in
"... time and place for it, (COMMA) the humble 'z' has not supplanted the 's'."

              Turn to Rome.

I stand humbled that I should have failed to use a comma whilst issuing forth a diatribe against Colonial English! You can notch that one up Quinns.

BTW. Is this Game 'Rated' or not?

                Turn to Lung.

Messengers, merchants. Rumours are still comming in from several of my contacts.

Germans and dutch on alert. Some making demands to the australian.

But my act is to keep clear of this kind of trouble, that might come.

Diplomats are still welcome in my country.

                Senator Maximus of Rome.

I think it's up to Lung to decide that - he is "the owner" of this game. But I would like it to be ranked.

I do not wish to count any "notches" either up or down! I simply wish to "learn peoples hows to talk good english!"

It's up to you Lung. Is this game rated or not? If so who is participating in the ratings, and upon which turn do you want to start rating?

                    Out of turn:
                    Happy to be rated.

In the Off Topic, language correction thing. I belive there a 2 schools of thought.
One saying, if it is good enough to understand, it's good enough. As I think quins himself stated, ..insert name here..'s English is much better than my/our ...insert language here... I don't think its fair or polite to correct understandable English from a non English speaker.
                    On the other hand....
If the speaker want's to be corrected (as was sort of the case here)... hey... go hell-for-leather...

                    Enjoy

                    • As far as I can tell all players except Lung have so far said that they would like this game to be rated, so it's up to Lung now.

                        • Ho-hum. Of course i'm happy for it to be rated. After all, this game includes the best-of-the-best!

Apologies to the Indians. Australia does not intend to tresspass (except perhaps on Jon's head ), but is unwilling to partake in weird Indians experiments in molecular trans-continental transportation Our Phalanx has poor eyesight, and your city only came into view later. We shall move on, away from your dingey little cities

                          • Lung, my beloved friend, you allow your affection to run away with you. 'Tis true that it is nothing but pure joy to have you so close beside me but even when 'true love' runs so deep things can become a little cramped.

                            • Stavros, Exactly my feelings... and I would never correct anybody if they didn't ask. I also think that's rude. Birdman has mentioned several times that he would like help (rather than ridicule) of his English. He has, by the way, improved his posts greatly. Due, primarily, to the incredible teaching skills of Quinns the Colonial English Professor!

edit: And by the way, this game will be officially rated when I get the exact player list and order from anyone playing here. Please post the list to the "CTP Ratings" thread. Thanks.
