With luck, the bananas will found one on their capital and build a shrine just before we capture it
In fact, we might want to heavily suggest this...
Were they founders of buddhism?
We could try and nab the pyramida with our first GE...
Just a joke or serious suggestion?

Early Representation could easily be worth more than just one tech, but it will all depend on how suspicious the nanas are by the time we get the GE (and if the pyramids have been nicked by then).
The happiness bonus alone will let us grow our cities a couple extra points, as well as making extensive use of whipping, if we're that desperate.
And even then, ChuKoNus some turns later can be offset with police state's +25% unit production. If the nanas prove a tougher nut to crack than we expect, it can provide a difference.
Thats the kind of thing that could set up a game long grudge if someone has almost finished it
But yeah, with the new civ info from the bananas I'm less convinced by the death to the bananas plan. Not because it looks bad, just because theres info we don't have and we can't be as sure we're making the right choice.
1.Our national (and world) wonders and their distribution over cities.
Code:
City Nat1 Nat2 Other
----------------------------------------------------------
SCC Oxford Wall Street Academy
Hi-Prod 1 Hero Epic West Point Drydock(?)
Hi-Prod 2 IronWorks - DryDock(?)
GP Farm Nat Epic Globe Theatre Academy(?)
----------------------------------------------------------
Please note that a high prod city does not necessarily mean being high on hammers as whipping can provide a good effect aswell, therefore we might devote a high food city to some kind of universal duty building mil units by whipping when needed and growing into coastal commerce hub when idle.
2.Using our GE for what?
a)Machinery and subsequent Chukonu rush
b)Pyramids
c)Other World Wonder (GL/Colossus)
Please note that in several turns we will know if option A is possible at all.

I would say C is our default option, if both A and B are impossible. It would be nice to get either multiple cities or a major wonder like the Pyramids for our effort.
As far as grudges, if we do well, someone will begrudge us our success. If we nail the nanas without exterminating them, they'll hold a grudge worse than anyone we beat to the Pyramids.
*Gold production formula for trade missions still unknown but has to do with target city's pop.

That was my thought in listing them in said order.
If A impossible, B; if B impossible C.
But discussion rages on..

QFT.
Either we do or don't, grudges can only be a measure of our success and others' jealousy.

Below is a proposal for city placement, accounting our current information about the terrain.
There are still spots to scout that could alter this plan, namely the black sea areas on our continent's western and northern side.
F-food
H-hammers
C-commerce
1. C, most of the hammers will come from late lumbers in tundra forests and the sole hill.
2. H as of having 5 hills, we'll have to spread irrigation there to use full potential though.
3. C, we'll be unable to spread irrigation there prior to electricity, so growth might become a problem
4. C, the grasslands will need to be farmed to use full potential
5. None, has some food and hammers, but unlikely to achieve anything more than being a hookup city.
Also, this is an agressive case (chuko rush), for less aggresive, just move 4. 1 to east and probably one to north and forget about this one.
6. C, good commerce potential with that +5 food as well as having quite enough hammers and being close to capital (can use our single worker) makes this city one of the best choices for next few settlers.
Looking at the map first thing I see that we're hard pressed for a good space for expansion, another reason for war..
NOTE: I had to crop some off as it kept ranting on pic being too big.

Eh, I don't know. I like 1, I'd move 2 a little north and I'd drop 6 on the incense. I suppose I'd move 4. one tile to the east. Additionally, if we're going attacking I'd be inclined to build no more cities than that. No need to break the bank.
As it is, it's using the terrain most optimally I think as it's interferencing little with both beijing and 1. and has cows in immediate range, in other words, I don't see any benefit in moving it to north.
I'd drop 6 on the incense
Here again, I don't see it benefiting from such a move.
I suppose I'd move 4. one tile to the east
Was my thinking too for the (at least initially) peaceful route, as it then has deer and we can dismiss 5. completely.
I agree that we shouldn't be building a lot more in any near time, but I think that all except 5. and probably 6. should be built just to ensure we cover the perimeter and use sea squares (with colossus/gl and the commerce stuff).
Provided food is enough 2. can make a good mil city along with Tassagrad also being a strategic defense point if there's invasion from the east.
Speaking of the east (and south) I'd like to bring back up the idea about building a galley or two for scouting the areas accessible by sea.

I meant move 2. north and east onto that grasslands hill. It'll be able to use the Cows immediately as Beijing's borders must be due to expand soon. It'll also be able to share that wheat with 1. as it won't grow too fast with a plains/cows. I'm also less worried about it sharing tiles with 1. than with Beijing, as 1. is going to be a fishing village anyway and Beijin is our capital. When we're in Bureaucracy we'll want maximum productivity from it.
Side note - I think I see a good line for chaining irrigation. If we begin at the plains tiles above the silks at the river and go west, south west, west past the wine and cows, then north up to the wheat. It'll make our plains tiles more useful, at least until we get State Property workshops or something. Something to do once the workers have finished calendar resources and cottage spam.

I see, that's a good one too, if we indeed move 4. NE

Doubt it will reach 20 working citizens until very late game

Yeah, we shall then call the event 'The Construction Of The Great Channel' (at least 9 tiles to irrigate).
