Re AH, how about we tell them we understand they wish to stick their banana elsewhere?
About Ob/Ax/Set - I think this decision can wait for a while, but all three of those are almost certainly needed.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

for the discussion about build orders in our second city, see this thread (we don't really need an obelisk in our second city)
I would not really give much comments on their lame joke, except perhaps stating our spy-birds have seen bananas worshipping horses since 3320 BC.Last edited by PJayTycy; September 18, 2006, 15:28.no sig

Right, we were thinking of Warrior, then Barracks, then Ax in our second city, which should be good, I think.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

Response sent, main points
1 - Recognize their Stone claim
2 - Point out possibility of Sea trade
3 - Proposed a plan for the road
4 - Made Animal Husbandry inuendos
Greetings Diplomatic Banana, we are overjoyed to see comunications once again commence between our peoples. We likewise recognize your claims on Stone and look forward to mutualy benifitial tradeing. As you noted this will require road networks, but it may also be done by sea. We already posses a coastal city and plan to develop sturdy sailing vessels in the near future. If your development will result in a coastal city then we should consider this as an option. Ofcorse a road is more expediant and within our technological grasp already. One solution would be for each of us to build a road to the river and use a ferry as the middle leg of the voyage. This has the advantage that each of us builds a roughly equal amount and we may build the road as quickly and as efficiently as possible without detailed consultations.
Concerning our Animal Husbandry, the followers of Yang respect your desision on ware to stick your banans but we urge you to atleast give it a try first. After all were you not the first to develop it, we clearly remember Horses being of marked as animals of interest on the maps you have exchanged with us. Perhaps you have sinse found them lacking?

Response arrived:
Impaler,
We could have a coastal city soon. Our map makers are looking to draw up a proposed road. This will be sent shortly.
your friend,
The Diplomatic Banana
-> south-east, next to the rice ?
-> very-far-south-east, next to the horses and cows ?
-> south-west, next to the cows and in our direction ?
-> very-close-north-east, next to the copper and silver ?
But, if they say they'll have a coastal city, whey will they send us a proposed road ? Guess we'll have to wait & see.no sig

Remember that copper spot to North-East from them?-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

Yes I can see it now, we both luled them into a false sense of security AND made tricked them into building the worst unit against our chu-ku-no. Brilliant move on my part to tell them about that Copper. We can have a Great Enginer giving us Machinery in roughly 37 turn, less if a wonder like Collosus or TGL kicks in a few points. At that point an army of say 6 chu-ku-nos or swordsman should be sufficient to completly subjugate the Bannanas it their military grows at a normal rate and consist soley of Ax and archers.Last edited by Impaler[WrG]; October 6, 2006, 00:04.Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. Not to get ahead of ourselves, but with a forge, we could perform something of an "alpha strike" whipping out CKNs - start with 22-29 hammers, whip one citizen for +60, add on one turn's production to get back into the 22-29 hammer window to repeat next turn, albeit at the cost of stacking unhappiness. Nothing to worry about too much for another millenium and a half, though. I would expect to have horse archers against us, too, though if the nanas don't have horseback archery by the time we're ready, I say harvest them."Cutlery confused Stalin"
