It would be a shame to not have Lego in the demo game. Hopefully a Lego team can "build" themselves together.

Interesting. I thought the correct answer was six.

            Great avvie btw

Anyhow, I disagree entirely. SP demogames are simply in no way shape or form related to MP demogames - at least in my experience, there is no common ground whatsoever beyond "many people playing one civ". I honestly wish we had different names for the two games ...

I agree wholheartedly, the only thing first playing a SP game can do for someone who wants to play MP is help them learn game dynamics, especially now when the game is brand new.

The "human dynamics" between the two beasts are significant.

As many as possible. We have time to let it grow. Time for us to all grow into a great new game.

I really think we take the first 6 teams that form and play a short game.

That gives us time to figure it out, and then we dont have a lot of time committed if there is indeed some sort of an MP bug that is patched and does not let you continue playing the pre-patch save.

Thats just me though. I'm chomping at the bit for an MP game but Im kind of looking at this like the preseason, its the game to get us all in shape before the regular season begins.

                    But that is just me

If you want a 'short' game, go for 3 teams, not 6. 6 will be a multi-year game like it was last time. (as one team had been destroyed before any true delays came to be, I know there were 7 to start with)

Also, the larger the number of teams, the more people you will need in your own team just to keep up. Diplomacy is a very labour intensive thing in a MP demogame. We couldn't even have a decent 6-team diplomacy in last game, I don't want to imagine what 12 teams would demand.

my choice: 5. And if it's any less, it will probably be more enjoyable.

I voted 7, but I think 8 or 9 would be OK. With strict play times of course.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.
