Damascus is probably less well defended, since we are not directly threatening it yet. I think we'd rather have Imperio burn some more of their stack on Templar units.

        • With no word from Imperio we still want to attack Jerusalem next turn, right? Or does it make more sense to hold off for some reason?

          • Well they've yet to log in again this turn, so I'm not too surprised with a lack of response. When would you be planning to run the attack sunrise? ASAP in the new turn this evening, or wait until lunchtime tomorrow when the Europeans can join in on the fun? (assuming you have the time then, of course!)

            • I figure we'll get more interaction if I run the attack tomorrow. I'm busy after work, but I can do it at noon EST if people will be around then. It seems like we have more Europeans than Americans in the chat room crowd, so that may be best.

                • Out of curiosity and for the benefit of the lurkers, why exactly are we knifing them in the back? You seem to have a good plan to kill them, I'm just not sure why exactly we're doing it...

Do we have a long term plan for what to do about PAL?

                  • @Procyon - Because if we don't we'll loose a city, and certainly suffer huge casualties if we try to take more cities.

See, in the long term PAL will control their continent, so we need to do the same. But as long as Imperio has a 30-unit stack that can pop out of the fog anywhere, we have the defend a front of, at least, Cape Town + Jericho + Jerusalem, and one movers simply can't cover that front. Likewise if we march for Imperio's more compact border they can nail us with 11 cats. Removing that stack from play opens up a lot of options for us.

PS - It isn't knifing them in the back IMHO when they orchestrated a trade embargo against us, pillaged our resources, and then declared war

                    • Alright, I suppose it makes sense, especially since they seem to be doing the same thing to Rabbit.

I just jumped in not that long ago, so I don't know the full history of what they've done.

                      • I think you're slightly confused, Lord Procyon

Imperio has missed their turn, again. If they keep it up, we'll invade and they won't even know it.

                        • Yeah, sorry, I meant PAL attacking (eventually) Rabbit.

But how could Imperio attack you with their SOD when they don't even play the game...

                          • Got a reply to my pm to naldorinho:

                            Hi sooooo,

We have some dificulties to play regularly but i think that for the next turn we will be ready antother time.

                            Thanks!

                            • Imperio have logged in!

The main army is now 1E of Lakamha (1N of the t159 sign), and there are 2Knights in Calakmul.

They have not declared on Templars.

So that's effecrtively a retreat from Damaskus area, right. Weird move. All the more reason for us to hold back Jerusalem, seeing as they are not actually preparing for a strike on Templars any time soon.
