Next turn we will have our first worker! This is the thread to discuss worker actions. There is not much to discuss yet of course . I have decided that our first worker will be called Winston. Winston's first job will be to build a cow pasture.
The only other activity Winston knows how to do is build rock mines. He is learning how to use a chainsaw though! His plan is to spend 2 turns travelling to that big hill on the plains, then dig dig dig!

Well, since you failed to pop Agriculture from a hut, I guess that is the best move. Grassland hill for a chop/mine afterward, I assume?
Chopping a forest takes 4 turns. Building a mine takes 4 turns. Telling a worker to mine + chop takes 7 turns. Since we want a mine on this grassland hill, I think we wasted a worker turn there.

Yeah, I hate to nitpick sooooo, but...

Doesn't chopping on normal speed only take 3 turns? That's what it said last turn when I started it. Now it says 2 turns.
Anyway, I plan on cancelling the chop at the end of this turn in order to put the chop into a settler next turn.
Why cancel the chop and waste time by moving the worker?
Can't we have the chop invested into the warrior and then have the overflow spent at the settler?

I'd suggest putting a turn of production into Settler to avoid wasting worker turns. (Note that Settler has to be on queue only on the end of turn when worker finishes chopping.)
