There's no follow-up needed on this chat, IMO.
It did contain a lot of (mis?)information though, I wonder if the PAL player tried to get my guard down or if he is under the impression we're best buddies now.

Yeah, no rush with the diplomacy. The foundations of our 'friendship' have been laid, best not to say too much, our words may come back to haunt us later in the game.
Less is more IMO.Let your every day be full of joy, love the child that holds your hand, let your wife delight in your embrace, for these alone are the concerns of humanity.

Rob, I believe we are trying to determine whether the rabbits will attack PAL using the plan of UnOrthOdOx. If we decide that's what will happen it would determine our diplomacy, yes? You and Chuckman were against the poll I created, so I closed it in the interests of Rabbit unity. You mentioned that we needed to discuss strategy rather than start a poll so that has been done by Nugog with his thread. In that thread there is universal agreement for adopting the plan of UnOrthOdOx to attack PAL. (Though there's still plenty of room for discussion) That is a diplomatic decision with diplomatic and production planning ramifications.
No statement on strategy has been made either by you or by Chuckman in the thread made directly to consider both your wants in the manner you wanted as stated in the poll thread. Now this, you want 'no rush' on diplomacy. I must say I'm a bit confused at the lack of consideration of what you said you wanted earlier in my poll thread and the wishes of the large group of rabbits who support the plan of UnOrthOdOx.
It would seem that you dismiss all this by ignoring it, and now by your 'Less is more IMO'. Am I wrong? Please tell me.
"The foundations of our 'friendship' have been laid" means what? That any other diplomacy is moot? "No rush with diplomacy"?
Do other rabbits have a say in this?Last edited by Lancer; August 10, 2008, 17:40.Long time member @ Apolyton

We are a democracy. My words mean no more, or less, than anyone elses. On all occasions, I have tried to play the turns according to the majority vote.
If the majority want to action Uno's plan then I am more than happy to go along with the majority. If we do take up his plan it will need more, and continued, input from him, otherwise we will be working on out of date information more and more as we progress. I for one remember his tenure in the SPDG as Minister of War, and respect his military prowess hugely. As such I think he is one of a handful on our team who should have a big say on all things military.
I agree that PAL are our biggest threat, and as such should be taken down at some stage in the future. The exact timing I am unsure of, and will depend on how efficiently we grow from now on, and how that growth compares with our neighbour PAL.
If our other neighbour is indeed Banana then, from all accounts, we need not fear them too much. Logic dictates that you should keep your strongest neighbour in check, otherwise they will continue to grow stronger and stronger.
My own belief, as you know, is that we should press from the NE, while Banana presses from the S, but that is rather orthodox doctrine, and as Uno rightly points out, one that can be expected. What will be needed ultimately is and unorthodox approach.........
What I meant by "The foundations of our 'friendship' have been laid" is that PAL trust us enough to declare 'war' on them and pass through unmolested to the other side of their empire. IMO that is a huge mistake on their part. We should now have access to another civ, which only weakens PAL's position in the grand scheme of things.
By "Less is more" I mean that we shouldn't be in a rush to send diplomatic messages just for the sake of keeping a dialogue going. Words said now may come back to haunt us if we say the wrong thing to the wrong team.
In short, if the majority wants Uno's plan, lets go for it!!!Let your every day be full of joy, love the child that holds your hand, let your wife delight in your embrace, for these alone are the concerns of humanity.

My apologies for my previously vague postings. In the other DG teams that I am an honoured member of, we seem to have a borg like understanding of what each other is implying.
Sometimes it is hard to remember that I have so many talented new team-mates to work up a rapport and understanding with.
Will try to post with more clarity from now on........Let your every day be full of joy, love the child that holds your hand, let your wife delight in your embrace, for these alone are the concerns of humanity.

I PMed UnOrthOdOx asking him to drop by. Told him his attack plan is getting alot of support. I think from what others and UnOrthOdOx have said that we need to expand a bit first, but it's nice to have a goal and there's no goal like the opening day of a new offensive.

Saying that, active rabbits who I have seen flex their military might and had my jaw dropped by are :
Uno
PLATO
Geo
Tri-League rabbits who I have examined the martial handiwork of are :
Chuckman
Ms_Summer
Inactive, but highly experienced vets are :
Dale
Methos
If I have omitted your name from the above, and you think you should be on there, it is because I have little or no knowledge of your martial abilities.
Please step forward and enlighten us with your military prowess!!!Let your every day be full of joy, love the child that holds your hand, let your wife delight in your embrace, for these alone are the concerns of humanity.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to be more of a 'big picture guy' in this game than you might have seen me in other games, however. I'll get what specifics I can get to you from the screenies, but I don't have BTS, and can't access the game to study stuff in detail.
One word of caution that came to me over the weekend reguarding the general 'plan' is that we need to be prepared to launch an offensive if PAL decides to rush Banana. One who has a surplus of the unorthodox shall attain surpassing victories. - Sun Pin
