The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

hehe, this is what we need, looks like some excitment is creeping into the game.
Well the truth is, I did start this war earlier than I wanted, but I did need to give the Frenchy's, and the english a fighting chance. I really didnt want to be fighting a fully fledged war against Germany with them only fighting on one front.
I guess attacking Finland first was a calculated risk, sacrifising a few cities along the main front, but I didnt like the idea of having St.Petersburg (maybe its called Leningrad) as a border city.
Good to see that this scenario is offering a few different options though. I guess the next big question now is weather the germans move east or west.
As for siding with Germany, well that would have been boring.
Hopefuly the english can use some "creative deplomacy" against the spanish.
BTW, WTF is up with the swedish. Are they just declaring war on everybody? So much for staying nutral. I thought I may have had some luck having them on my side, now they are fighting me also. Cheaky swedes.

Oh, and what are you doing now?

And Civ3 is really bad about defending far away places. Numbers count, while things like weather and knowledge of the terrain don't mean crap. But hey, at least your Russian Winter will not be coming at me.

Yeah, you take a guess.

Either you had a Sub somewhere and they rammed it (a bug in Civ3) causing war, or one of you two has an MPP that caused this. I see no other reasons, but I admit I have less knowledge about the AI in scenarios, that in the epic game.
Well, historically Germany was well prepared to win the war. Only Hitler effectively stopped them. Gues what? We have the bugger buried 10 feet under in good custody, so he ain't gonna mess with The Plan.
Yes, the surest way for the Germans to have won WWII was if someone had incapicated Hitler any time between two weeks prior to their invasion of the Nertherlands and three months after the invasion of the USSR. (Optimum time two weeks prior to invasion of USSR.)

Having another weird wireless problem on my notebook.
It says it's connected to the open wireless network router and receives and sends bytes to it as verified thru details.
It just won't pass from that point onto the internet.
Usually selecting any http site (other than localhost) is supposed to autoredirect to a "Welcome to Panera Bread Company. Your at the Bridgeton location, blah, blah, blah, click ok to go online." And that's not occuring, instead it can't find the dnsserver. (Or if a direct IP address entered, can't reach it.) Pings to the router return okay, but similarly won't reach outside.
The only weird things I note on the details is that the 3rd DNS server IP address is exactly equal to the 1st DNS server IP address and WINS is blank.

Actually, it appears that the problem is specific to Panera bread company. A blogger posted on Friday about Panera Bread Company being down for him and comments to that pointed to it being a nationwide authenication problem.

Looks like Panera's ISP is working on the problem, but hasn't quite finished it as of yesterday evening.
All failures are now after the auto-redirect. Closest it came to working though was their site blocker was blocking the log in page. (The one that tells you your at Panera's ____ location and hit the Go Online button) Apprently the same ISP Panera is using is also being used by Kroger. (No Kroger anywhere near St Louis) based on the page being displayed.

Panera's ISP is back up enough for web browsing but not windows update nor Norton's Live Update (some sort of proxy issue)
Anyway, turn sent to USSR
Combat against the Italians
Entire fleet off Rome missed their targets bombarding.
The usual one gun salute on fort in Italy near Marsellis. Hit
Bombers try to disconnect a fur in Northwest Italy. Fighter intercepts, dead fighter. I think the bombing missed though.
Africa: Bombard Italian taskforces with aritelly : Recruit reduced to 2/4. One Concript tank reduced to 1/4.
