Might have started with it. I'm not aware of any prohibition against starting with units you don't have the tech for.

Also, according to the editor, fighters can detect invisible units.

And if your sub was in the direct shortest path [modiifed for ocean/sea being faster than coast] between where an AI ship was and where it wanted to go, it wouldn't need to detect it to stumble upon.

Yeah, I thought something like that could have happened in the Baltic Sea. Few tiles, many ships...

I can see combining Turkey since they historically didn't join the war until 1944/1945 timeframe, but placing Portugal in this category is just weird. (Should have been part of minor allied powers)

What's the hold up with moving the save around?

Please resend. I have not received it. I was wondering what the hold up was too. Please post here when you send the turn.

Hey guys, I have received the turn, but I am unable to play it as I have no idea what my password is. I'm sure I was never told what it is. Could whoever knows please email it to me at cjpurdin AT yahoo?

                    Thanks!

The game asked you for a password on the first turn. It was saved then, and only you know it. If you didn't enter one, just hit "ok" and it should let you in without any problems.

Aw crap. I can't get in, and I don't remember ever using a pw for this game. I would have recorded it if I had used one. I am very sorry about this!

This has the potential to be a great game, and I feel like it's somehow my fault that it has stalled. I honestly don't recall using a pw for Spain. I am very sorry. I am open to any solution that is suggested.

Modo helped me fix this. We are moving again. Turn played and passed to Italy.

                              Peace accepted with Britain.
DOW on Portugal, which made Britain immediately declare war on me as they have MPP.
                              Successful bombing run on Oporto.

                              End turn 2.

First the good news (from my point of view anyway)...

Italian destroyer sinks English destroyer at Crete.

                                Now the bad news...

Italy attacks Thessalonika, one armour lost, other weakened and retreats to city. Thessalonika holds firm.
Minor powers counterattack - one armour and one fighter destroyed, city razed.
Italy attacks English expeditary force at Tubruq, two armour lost, minimal damage to English forces.

                                Turn passed on to England
Even a fool is thought wise if he remains silent.
