      • When the scouts reported the approach of the heard, the BBQ pits were prepared. Under the guidance of the patriarchs and their ranchers all the young boys made their kill and became men, until the herd moved on. This alone would have been plenty of roast beast for a week, but Labarna and Arnuwanda also competed with each other to show the city who could afford to be most generous. The patriarchs offered kills from their own ranches and the celebrating continued until even these herds were wearing thin. The feasting was the greatest in all memory and went on so long that the people grew too fat and lazy to build anything.

The patriarchs enjoyed a great feast as much as any other Hittite. The sight of the empty scaffolding around the granary made this feast that much better. The plan had worked not only were the laborers to fat now to climb the scaffolding, but the people were so pleased with the great families that it Ahimelech would be hard pressed to find anyone willing to engage in work they had condemned.

              • 3300bc to smellymummy - the long dead Egyptian.

j/k. Wanted to see who was awake.

The Egyptian people - who don't need no education - have forwarded the save correctly on to Paddy. This day will forever be recorded as a great day in Egypt's world legacy.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

                  • Ahimelech found few who were willing to defy the edicts of the powerful patriarchs. He was however above all a merchant and while Aspalis was undoubtedly powerful Hiyon was much more clever. To Ahimelech the world was much larger than Hattusas, for many generations his family had been dealing with the wild tribes that wandered Hatti. He approached these chieftains now and invited them to share the great feast, he dared them to satisfy their appetites and offered them first pick of the hides if they would only stack a few stones in return.

Labarna and Arnuwanda watched the huge barbarians nervously and hoped that the week would come to an end before their herds. They were at least relieved that the scaffolding was to flimsy for the huge wild-landers. But it was no obstacle at all. The tribesmen simply threw the stones up onto the walls and seamed to be able to eat even as they did so. When the feast finally came to an end Labarna and Arnuwanda knew that their families’ fortunes had been wasted for many generations to come.

                      • Sorry

3300 off to Ljube, who obviously sent it to Modo, who has now sent it to Chrisius.

                        1889, always enjoy your story.

I am not nearly as creative, since all I would have to say is "Further into the desert my warrior has traveled."

Are you there, Ljube? Is the save with you, or on its way? Or is it with Chris?

                          Who has the save?!
