      • trade advice by the clan McMeadows

Loaded the save and had a look around. We could trade to have all the luxeries. This allows for putting all the entertainers to work and having a whole bunch of cities in WLTGD. But it's up to the Cube familly to decide what's best for our nation.

What kinda victory do we want to achieve? Winning itself won't be a problem anymore...

        • do we really want to trade astronomy to the ai at this time

portugal is possibleone of the only nations still with cash etc
have you seen what the other nations would then offer for astronomy?

ahhh I have had correspondence that the Family Cube are not available until their next turn

          so onwards

          • The extra money each turn will boost our economy even more. We're going 4 turn techs. There's no way the AI can keep up with us. Why deny them Astronomy?

                • They're just too poor to let us sell anything. The only interest for Carthage iis to obtain the luxeries.

                    • I'm just wondering what to do. The game is more or less done. Normally I wouldn't bother to invade the other continent. Just keep on boosting the economy and run for a SS victory. Modo seems to have other plans and that's just fine. I'll adapt.

I only wondered why you have all those cities at size 12 and are not building any workers. That's what I do. Allthough it usally wastes some shields, it does prevent the waste of food and with the workers usefull tile working or city growth can be achieved. Furthermore it's quite usefull to have a bunch of workers when railroads become available.

                      • we are almost over run with workers

and yes they would be very useful for when rail networks are available

                        • and after the infrastructure is up the workers can be added to the cities to grow them more quickly.

Sanitation is a tech I do deny the AI. It doesn't give it high priority and while I'm going massive growth they're bothering with nationalism, communism, fascism, espionage. Techs I don't care about. After Santation I usually run for replaceable parts, being quite happy to build Darwin's (to give me a teach lead and a head start on the Hoover). Now it all doesn't matter too much.

                          • I'm back from Wroclaw *5:10AM YAWN*.

You are right - the game is essentially done. The point for me personally is, I have never won a Domination victory in Civ3, never even really tried for one. So I say, let's break things. Modo III will certainly be doing that.

                            I'll present battle plans shortly.

                              • First, sorry for the delay. I've been half asleep yesterday, having slept some 2 hours on a train. I wouldn't like to do decisions in that state, so they don't come out on top of me.

Anyway, King Modo has been crowned in 1050 AD. He found that some countries have gone missing since then. He was an outtanding student at the Carthaginian War Academy in Theveste. A calm man, not to become angry easy, but with a deep sense of purpose around him. [foreshadow] That sense of purpose would ultimately lead to the downfall of King Modo. [/foreshadow]

The empire seemed to flourish, judging by the many happy people and beautiful buildings in the cities he visited.

He also noted that the defensive army of Carthage was small compared to the offensive one.

For some reason unknown to him, he couldn't stop himself from being angry with the Iroquis people. The have done him no wrong, but the urge to do bad things to them was stronger than the calm mind of Modo. So, he devised a plan. A plan that would soon lead to the downfall of the Iroquis people.

Many cities were set to military production, as the plan would require a number of Cavalry and Musketman regiments, as well as many Galleons to transport the force. Modo figured that infrastructure cold wait until the army was on it's way.

The first draft of the war plan was found later in his cabinet. No notes were found, however. It looked like this:
