At least they are not DyP barbarians.
Earliest are Swordsmen types at 2/2/1 and then once mounted show up its worse at 4/3/2.
Hard to kill and cause lots of havoc early. I guess historically correct, very dangerous menace to society and civilization growth.Comment

Mostly barbarians are conscripts, so any veteran worrior should be strong enough to win. I haven't checked if deity difficulty still have conscript level of barbarians...Comment
