What would make you use a nuke

I've never needed to build nukes in any games I've played so far. Mostly because I usually won before that time. My current game I'm gonna build up a load of nukes and see what happens tho

In civ2 the only only time I'd ever use nukes is if someone was ahead of me in Spaceship construction.

Or if they nuked me.

Or if I was attacking them and there was this huge city with massive defense that I just couldn't break.

Or if I saw a large part of there army was within nuking range of eachother.

Or if I wanted to see that cool explosion again

So basically I use nukes whenever I want to.

I always keep large stockpile of nukes, i qoute from the mouse pad! "My words are backed with nuclear weapons"

lol, i'm worth 3 average civs in my current game. The only reason i find it hard to invade is cuz it takes so long for my transporters to go from my land to theirs. But i have a load now, so i can ferry my units about like a giant moves his feet

you could always get a base on the other side of that ocean , ....

and rebase a lot of airpower , ..........

it also seems that the AI like's to go after city's that have nuke's , ..........;maybe the AI has a survival instinct , ........

Yeah, i have a few bases their, but they are scatered, this is jew to me attacking mighty citys till only one crappy riflemen is left, then some other civ sends a modern armor over their in thier turn and takes it!

editor , put at least 2 on heli , then rebase , and some airpower to keep them occupied , until your armor arrive's over sea , .......

lol, i've been getting loads of edittor tips after i started my game, the only thing i've editted was making the worker jobs quicker!

its not neede if you make a team of 4 , and have democracy

also , use carriers , just to create havoc behind the lines , make the carrier hold 10-12 planes , ............

also , use subs to block trade , ......

all my subs are on seak and destroy missions, i'm currently trying to find a greek nuclear sub in the north near the ice caps!

Regarding the 'it's just a game' you're right of course.

For gameplay reasons I just hate these nukes and they DON'T add any importance for me. (in a winning SP game they're will be NO nukes for anyone, as I won't allow them )

be care full , put subs near you , and a couple carriers aswell , to fly recon , ........the range of the missile is no more the 8 , .....

that is why you should station some ships every so many squares , and put some escorts with them and with your carriers , .....

and that sub , if you go to war , nuke it , ..................that takes care of that , ..........

does it cause polution if i nuke water squares? and I wasn't sure if nukes could kill subs.
