The list of published books grows. If you're curious to see what sort of stories I weave out, head to Amazon.com and do an author search for "Christopher Hartpence." Help support Candle'Bre, a game created by gamers FOR gamers. All proceeds from my published works go directly to the project.
I'll say no more and move onto active ignoring. By the by it appears to be the only means to deal with my 18 month old daughters tantrums.

::nodding:: Agreed...I've never yet used the ignore feature, but this seems a fitting time to give it a try....

You know, after having a look at the spelling in some of those posts before the "ignore" was activated....that could very well be. Could very well be....

Vel, don't waste your time on this one. Certainly, I've seen my share of posters who talk down to others because of a misunderstanding (i.e., me), and I know it's always nice to set those things straight, but some just have to be dropped. Y'know, the whole "bad apple" thing.
Btw, how do you use ignore?

Hiya Cyclotron! Long time no see! I completely agree with you, and am QUITE enjoying this previously unused feature. And, to access it, click to view the profile information of the user in question....at the bottom of the profile info, you'll see a link to add a the current user you're viewing to your ignore list...pretty slick....(and in this case, recommended!)

Yeah, since civ3 came out I've been lurking... nothin' to debate about no more! Besides, the game is still sitting on my desk uninstalled because I'm waiting for my new computer... so I don't know what y'all are talking about anyway.

For the most part, I have avoided the Apolyton Civ3 forums for months now--entirely due to the excessive amount of "incivility" (is that the right word?) and a seeming lack of tolerance.
I'm glad, and not surprised, to see a discussion calling for the need for greater civility.
Unfortunately, I'm also not surprised by the continued ugliness that keeps raising its ugly head in these forums.
I suppose the good news is that there seems to be a far greater level of civility, on the whole, in the Help threads, than here in the General threads. So it is still fairly safe to post a message requesting assistance and not get handed my head. (Or see somebody else being handed theirs.)
