SMAC? Do you mean anything different from Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, or are you spending way too many times at the keyboard?

I have seen plenty of evidence proving that the Hanging Gardens is a wonder. Just look at this screenshot. As you can alos tell the Great Library is going to be a wonder.

In some old screenshot I also the building of the Great Cathedral, this may or not be a wonder I'm not sure.
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

Don't you think that a building with a swords on the roof could be a Sun Tzu's War Academy?

        I saw it on http://www.civ3.com/gallery.cfm?startimg=13 .

        It's upper right picture.

        What else could it be?

I would agree with all of these pretty much but would add the following which I have posted in http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=24545

I came up with these by looking at the tech tree and seeing what city improvements each tech had. Then using the old Civ II tree and what we have heard I placed the stuff in either wonders or city improvement lists. This is what I came up with.

          Theology: J.S. Bach's Cathedral
          Astronomy: Copernicus' Observatory
Theory of Gravity: Issac Newton's College
          Electronics: Hoover's Dam
          Fission: Manhattan Project
Computers: SETI Program or the Internet

Would also add that the Genetics wonder may be human cloning or the human genome project and not a cure for cancer. And I am not sure the Monarchy one is actually a wonder. Oh well.

              Hng!

That trading company is taking quite a long time for such a big city, so it probably is a wonder... And on a related, but not really that related subject - Any hope of the Collosus falling over once you get flight?

KH I think you may be right.

And I am not sure the Monarchy one is actually a wonder
It's diffently a wonder because it becomes obsolete.

                  J.S. Bach's Cathedral
This could be the Sistine Chapel.

Don't you think that a building with a swords on the roof could be a Sun Tzu's War Academy?
That's not so much of the speculation, that building could have been created from a great leader or it could be a wonder. Nobody knows for sure, except Firaxis of course.

I would guess that this was a barracks or military academy. Wonders (at least the major ones) seem appear outside of the city walls in all of the screen shots, so I don't think that this is Sun Tzu's Academy.

While these might not be wonders, how come in the modern age tech screenshot, the space techs that in Civ2 provided spaceship parts have several pictures with blue blackgrounds. Has the spaceship been expanded, or do these boxes also open up the other vicotry conditions like culture and diplomacy as well?

Confirmation/evidence for SDI, Apollo, Manhattan Project, Grand Canal, Great Wall, the Internet:

Wonders of the World are as important as ever. We have all the Civ II ones, a couple of new ones, some that are old and function in new ways and a brand new set that we call "small wonders". While you can only construct one of each Wonder of the World, small wonders can be built by every civilisation, such as the Strategic Defence Initiative, Apollo programme and Manhattan Project.

                              ...

The Great Canal is one of the new Wonders in the game. When you build that, you can choose a place on the map and connect two oceans, so it's like the Panama Canal. You can charge a fee for using it. We also have the Great Wall, which is an old Wonder, but now you can choose a section of your border and you get a wall that is really hard for someone to get through. We have another great Wonder, the Internet, but we're not sure exactly how that's going to function. We know it's got something to do with education, it will create a smart populace, but apart from that we're stumped.
