I wish they'd include the Channel Tunnel - if that ain't a modern accomplishment, I don't know what is.

Looking at Monarchy and Steam Engine provides a clue that Monarchy enables you to build a wonder. Mysticism will again be where you will be able to build the Oracle.

Does anybody have any idea what the object is that is being Xed out in the flight tech? Where does that object originate from (what tech)? Did flight do any cancellations on wonders in Civ2, I don't remember?
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

By looking at the Space Flight tech I see a moon, this could possibly mean the Apollo Program wonder is in. Also in the Genetics tech there is a building shown. This building could be a wonder, maybe the Cure For Cancer wonder again.

The wonder in question is Colossus, which can be built after Bronze Working... and its effect seems to be cancelled by Flight as it was in Civ2.

            Re: Great Library

There is also a building under the "Literature" tech that gets X-ed out when Electricity comes along.

That big round temple thing in the forest. I reckon that is the Oracle. Why you may ask?

If you look at the advance of mysticism (check out Snapcase's thread http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=24465 ) and then the building associated (which I believe to be the oracle). Then look at the city view with the big round temple in it (don't know the link). You will see the resemblance immediately. Therefore I reckon this is the Oracle...

I too think Mysticism will provide you the ability to build the Oracle.

Has anybody from the tech tree pics seen any evidence of the following:
                  Sun Tzu's War Academy?
                  Manhattan Project?
                  Trading Company?
Has anbyody seen where these wonders might be built at:
                  Hanging Gardens?
                  Sistine Chapel?
                  Great Canal?
                  Internet?
                  Solar System?

So far we have gathered evidence and proof of these wonders:
                  Pyramids
                  Great Wall
                  Collusus
                  Lighthouse
                  Hanging Gardens
                  Sistine Chapel
                  Great Canal
                  Internet
                  Solar System
                  Great Library
                  Apollo Program
                  Trading Company?
                  Copernicus' Oberservatory?
                  Sun Tzu's War Academy?
                  Manhattan Project?

I think the building/wonder (since it is on green background) associated with Fission is the Manhattan Project, especially since it seems to have a picture virtually identical to the Manhattan Project in Civ 2 city view

And I would say that some of the four units introduced by Rocketry or Space Flight would be nuclear weapons.

Ribannah- I know that you're methodical, so I was wondering if there's any possibility of us including the evidence for these wonders so we don't create a list based on speculation and wishful thinking.

So far we have gathered evidence and proof of these wonders:

                            1. Pyramids (http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters...261-52,00.html)
                            2. Great Wall (http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters...261-53,00.html)
                            3. Collusus (http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters...261-53,00.html)
                            4. Lighthouse (http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters...261-53,00.html)
                            5. The Oracle (http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters...261-51,00.html)
                            6. Sistine Chapel (http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters...261-47,00.html)
. Pentagon - This may or may not be a wonder (http://apolyton.net/civ3/images/view...ev_33689_f.jpg)
. Trading Company - This may or may not be a wonder(http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters...261-47,00.html)

                            These are unconfirmed:

                            Great Canal
                            Hanging Gardens
                            Internet
                            Solar System
                            Great Library
                            Apollo Program
                            Copernicus' Oberservatory
                            Sun Tzu's War Academy
                            Manhattan Project

I have no idea about the Major/Minor Wonder factor here, which hasn't been discussed in a while, but it's something to keep in mind. I say first we establish the wonders then we'll worry about which ones are unique and which can be replicated.

There is a school of thought that thinks that the Hanging Gardens never existed at all per se but was rather a description of the beauty of Babylon in general. So perhaps SMAC has followed this example and removed the wonder. I have seen no evidence that it is included in the game at all, and there is nothing under the pottery advance to show that it exists, nor any other advance.
