The game does not end, only the scoring does. You can play on as long as you want. Someone actually posted a game in the 26xx time frame. Now that is a lot of turns.

Maybe it was just Poland, but the way the game was structured, I was funneled down a path to destrustion. After ahile I just deleted the whole tree in my civ, then the game played much betterWell, not quite, but Poland gets more than a fair share of nasty events.
EU programmers really tried hard to simulate not just rise of nations but also their decline. The latter is accomplished by "enforcing history" through events. So ie Spain and Ottomans get all sorts of nasty events after their historical "golden age". Same is true for Poland-Lithuania although PLC never gets much in a way of "good" events to compensate.
Some of the worst Polish events (like the dreaded Liberum Veto) are avoidable though. You need to lower your aristocracy rating iirc. Which is painful by itself since high aristocracy makes a lot of sense for Poland. But you cannot have it all
Using events is a bit of a cavalry-charge way to represent decline of great powers, but no other game even tries to simulate this, so it does not really annoy me much.It is only totalitarian governments that suppress facts. In this country we simply take a democratic decision not to publish them. - Sir Humphrey in Yes Minister

good Luck.
But seriously, there have been times when I have felt that I was through with CIV, but like most classics you just dont recognize what you have until its gone.* A true libertarian is an anarchist in denial.

Near the end of the mag. It was a game between Tom and ?? (Bruce). One was underground as a Warlock and the other was above as a Rampart IIRC). Gold dragons VS Black. I got to love the Dungeon. Extra money Blacks immune to magic and Ilike Scorpicores. It is the March issue.

The "Bruce vs. Tom" can be pretty entertaining.

I'm not certain that's accurate at all. When did you last go by there?

Dungeon gets some of the best heroes, too.
By the time you get to having the high level monsters, any not floers or range shooters are a handicap.

Guys, where can I buy HOMM?
It sounds good.
One question though. Is HOMM anything like Final Fantasy Tactics? I liked that game, with the jobs and interesting strategy in battles. A nice change from the real time battles of epic Final Fantasys.
Sometimes its good to take a breather and do something differently once in a while.Geniuses are ordinary people bestowed with the gift to see beyond common everyday perceptions.

You should be able to find it in most games stores. They have a package with all the versions and expansio out still.
If not, go to ebay or http://www.mrbillsadventureland.com/...NITED%20STATES
That site has a list of all kinds of game sellers.
