You will have read from the forums where things stand. Vox Controli would like to extend its appreciation to the people of Spain for their support over the recent past. Unfortunately, things have not turned out as planned or expected, and there is little that you or another nation can do now to assist. We trust you can extract your galley safely.

Regarding your recent public announcement, Spain was wise to publicly cut its ties as it did. We consider you a good friend and ally, and hope that we can remain that way whatever the future may bring for Vox. We are definitely down, but hopefuly not out of the game. We may be laying low for awhile.

Sent to RP today. I suspect they will try and deny there ever was a deal - and we may have to provide some discounting to make it work - but I hope they feel a small bit of indebtness to us. We shall see.

Greetings BigFree. How are things?

Life at Vox is interesting, to say the least, but a peace plan is reached, and an orderly wrap-up of our affairs on Estonia is underway.

I would like to review a deal discussed earlier, and which we at Vox thought had been agreed to. Here are the details:

Trade Agreement Between Spain and Vox Controli

In exchange for the technology of engineering, to be delivered as 'accepted' to Spanish RolepLay by Vox Controli on or before the date 34 turns from this date, Spain agrees to pay the sum of 200 gold, payable as 10 gold per turn, to commence on the turn after the conclusion of the current 8gpt payment for a previous deal, and to run for a period of 20 turns.

We are assuming this deal is still a ''go". We have not heard anything to the contary. And Engineering will be up shortly.

Great news!! The deal is still on for the price previously established. This will help. Now - to see if GoW will come up with some more money.

Things are good. I hope you guys are doing ok....well, as 'ok' as you can considering the circumstances.

We'd like to be able to send you some of the gold on the turn we can trade for Engineering and the rest in gpt. Does that sound good? Otherwise, yes, the deal is still on.

Any chance at RP getting Chiv from you? It seems everyone has it but us.

We suspect and combined invasion by ND and GoW in a few turns, there power graphs spiked.

Maybe Vox can do something to help us out?

Also, try not to trade Eng to ND or GoW, crossing rivers is something we don't need for either of them to do well.

So they believe we have chivalry when we don't. So if we tell them we don't have it then they get some info about us (not that it matters too much), and if we tell them simply 'no' then it could anger them. I'd go the first route myself.

As to trading engineering with GoW, it doesn't seem like we can get out of that one.

Rhoth - agreed. I informed vondrack of RP's request. Here is his response - which I will post in this thread to maintain the continuity. It will be useful - no necessary for us to have a Lego's stance with various nations.

Hi, Beta!

RPers have been bombarding us with requests for help for a couple of days now. But we are not going to help them in any way. Keep this to yourself, but... if there is any team we consider a true 'enemy', it's RPers. They have been the most difficult team to deal with, greedy, unhelpful, demanding, always trying to antagonize others against us... we do not care if they are hit and suffer. Fine with us, even if the balance of power shifts.

We do have Chivalry, but cannot trade for 20 turns (got it from GoW). I believe that RPers are well prepared for a war and that even a combined effort of GoW+ND will end up in a general bloodshed - and that is fine for all non-Bobians.

Received from the Pope's Emissary - Nuclear Winter - and my response. I was thinking we could start the Vox Reform Church - which woul dtake all teh catholic values and basically - well take the opposite stance. We would say we are members of 'the church' but it would bear no resemblance to theirs. Is anyone on the team a catholic - and would be offended by some very non-catholic positions? Please let us know - because we can take another route or just politely decline.

Hello Dear NW. Yes it has been awhile. My apologies for our lapse in contact. We have been - er - very busy with the exodus from our homeland. But things are looking up. And with a brighter future, the people of Vox may value a depper spritual understanding of the world. I will approach them with your proposal, and if necessary, arrange that you can chat with the members.

As to engineering - it is up this turn. So we will put it on the table.

As to deals for luxuries - yes - we will be intersested. We will have none. It may be a few turns before we need them - but I'm sure we can reach a deal.

Also - I owe BF a closure note on Chivalry - which we do not have unfortunately - and will not have for some time.

Although maybe your team has many objections with becoming part of the church, just let me know and I´ll try to clear the doubts from their minds. If your team decides that after all this won´t fit them RP-wise, then it is ok, just drop me a line and let me know.

PS:. Out of this, do you have any preview of when will the engineering deal be ready? Or if it is still up?
And about future trades with RP your team may want, just contact me, I am sure we could get to a nice deal on luxuries, if your population needs them... or strategic resources, maybe?

I'm a Christian but not a Catholic so it wouldn't offend me. If we do decide to do this a more "anarchic" type would certainly be in Voxian spirit.
