Ah, you're right. Forgot about NI69 (saw it yesterday, but my brain is turning into swiss cheese ) That should be NI988, BTW. NI98 is a forest, with a radar tower, 8 inf and 8 tanks if I'm not mistaken. That should be pretty safe.

      • Ok. I was working off the impression we were on the Hills. Forgot we were on the Forest.

          • If a message is to be sent to Vox today, which if MZ sends one, we need to be right behind, someone else will have to do it besides me. I have at least one trial this morning and another 7 hearings this afternoon (hopefully no more trials today, one is enough, but you never know). Going to be a late night at the office for me.

            • Regarding Lego loading up and coming for us with the Abilene stack, when can we get hold of cruise missiles. For 60 shields a turn, we have a few cities that can churn out 1 per turn, and each one can take out a transport (after bombardment) and the 8 units in it. Plus you can avoid some of the range problems by loading them into transports first and firing them from there (which is really an exploit of the rules, I suppose, since they're not meant to be usuable like that).

              • I didn't realise you could fire cruise missiles from transports. Makes up for not being able to fire them from N-Subs. Don't we need Rocketry for CM though? I think we're scheduled to get that from ND, but not for a while yet.

                  • OK, Sleepy - understood.

GoW's advantage here is that they have no team who has to agree on content, tone, or wording. All we've firmly agreed on is that we have to be careful to start with.

                    So, any advances on ...

To the fine people of Vox Controli,

In these turbulent times we'd like reassure you that our war is with Lego and not with their ally, and would like to both continue and extend our friendship with you. However paradoxical it may seem, Vox could make gains from the current conflict, should circumstances permit.

                    • important message from MZ just arrived... I need time to think this over (and to open my eyes properly too). He wants to take the isolation a lot farther.

Wow... firing missiles from transports is not what I had in mind, no. That's clearly a bug.

However, you can'f fire them from nuke subs? In that case, forget what I said yesterday about those being better than subs.

                        • CH, that message from Vox might be a bit too confrontational. I know the intention is to reassure them, but it kind of reads like "now that your oppressor is gone, you can be free again!"

I don't know how to improve it, though. Your intention i very good.

Can they offer peace and send rubber at the same time? I thought not - but then PBEM diplo mechanics are somewhat opaque - not to mention buggy.

                            • Good point! In SP, you can't do both, no... while offering peace, the harbors are not open, so no lux or resource trades. I guess that MP is no different here

                              • I agree the draft Vox message is not very warm. I'm not sure what to say instead though. (I shouldn't really be thinking about it now.)
