Did I just spot a user made avatar next to Arrian's name there???!!
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

oh, alva, I think nobody was forgetting that. Did I write somewhere that the tone was not correct? On the contrary, I would say... I objected a bit to CH's too formal response (after all, MZ would think something was wrong ), and we have been helping him out all we can. Besides, it only took one sentence, to change his tactics from "hah, look what we have done" to "Thanks for all the help!".
From his side, it was a good idea. And if we can help him in keeping him from doing too wild things from time to time, excellent. All it takes is an informed report...
as to paranoia: you can't, if there ever was a time of being paranoid, it was either at the beginning of our invasion, or now. The rubber thing is an ideal time for them. Plus, we know that ND is not giving them any problems, and GoW can't even chain all the units they build to Legoland anymore, they are stocking some extras at home...
But so far, everything is going fine. As long as we protect our backs a little, I'm sure we can do more things with GoW.
Did I write somewhere that the tone was not correct?
Nah, I meant it in a general sort of way.

That's the thing I can't understand. Is ND waiting for LEGO to be crushed for sure before acting?
They can win this game now, basically at their choosing.
Will they invade GoW in few turns?
I strongly doubt they will come after us as there is little to gain IMO.

I don't think it would be worth it to write these extensive reports to them, including advice from our side, if he had a very active team involved. 47 replies in the turn thread, half of them smileys, in the most hectic and action filled turn of the game? Wow... their way of working is totally different from ours. We spend >47 posts before the save was here, some 20 in between receiving the save, and being able to take the first screenie... Without smileys. Trip has even made more posts in these threads
ND is a mystery to all. I doubt they come after us as well, especially now. We have demonstrated again that we do not mind being ruhtless when we find flaws in a defense. Further, we are currently one tech in front of them, and a very important tech as well (MI). And, they are still weak compared to us. Maybe they became strong to GoW with the battles around Stanwix, but not to us. If they don't have a spy planted, that's the only military info they have, other then seeing MIs in all our coastal cities
Oh, but there is one thing to gain when coming after us... we moved up a spot, and are currently the third world power. The third still has a chance at winning this game. That alone is a good enough reason for war.
Remember that ND was saying long ago when GAUL was mentioned, that they were fine with Lego winning. So maybe they are fine with whoever winds???
I mean they did not even ask to be in on the land that is up for grabs on Lego. To me you must grab land, until you see you have the key resources you need. Not to mention luxs.
I know they have all they can handle right now, but if they end up missing oil/ur/al they may have a change of heart. You cannot count on getting it from others at the end of the game.
Well, coming after us would mean leaving their backdoor open.
That's why if I was ND, I'd go after GoW first and then come looking for us.
There's still some very interesting scenario's to be played out before this game is over, that's for sure.

vmxa, I don't know if the same people are still playing. Also, it looked like they said that, but it could just as wel meant that they had something else in mind, and were confident Lego wasn't going to win anyway.
One thing is for certain, ND is not going to hae a diplo win

alva, I only hope that there will be enough energy left to actually play those scenarios...

We could all ( every team ) stop playing and call it a draw.

we need 3 turns, to completely remove our forces from Legoland, and move them back home. Even if we wuold have lost most of our cities by that time, in case one city remains we can still beat them off our ground as long as we're strong to them. While that totally anihilates our chances of winning, it would also be a huge blow to any team... so in case they come, it will be a GoW-ND combined effort for sure.
BTW, our army was specifically designed to wage this war. That's a difference... these are 'extras', ready to do their job, and be destroyed. And as far as I'm concerned, their job was to destroy Lego's FP... they are essentially free right now. everything else we can get out of them, is a bonus.
