  • Okay, anyone objects that I start to load up units, and send them to Quanto? The first 4 cities are clear, right? Settler at Q6 will give us what we want.

In the mean time, maybe start thinking on how we can get to Abilene best. And how we're going to get the most out of GoW, while they still consider us their allies. It's obvious that we're going to sell all improvements we encounter, so maybe we can split the cost of the map, but if at all possible I'd like to have some slaves as well. I like slaves.... loads of slaves...

    • Remind me never to play a game against you lot.

      Edit:
The city you guys are wondering about is named "Nou Camp," just so you know.

Which is the name of the football stadium of Barcelona, though I'm sure there is a historical military reference too.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

Problem is, we have always been better at thinking about strategies then we were in creating names It is a bit of a keyhole operation, so perhaps an Alice in wonderland reference or so?

I still can't believe it. And how many troops could Jackson, Dye fields, and a distance-corrupt Abilene support?

If ND had the transports in place and a few Marines they can win the game the turn after next. They have a city within Marinable distance of one of our west coast cities with which they can dismember GS, and destroying GoW should be straightforward too.

I doubt they would expect GAUL to be quite so devastating, but if prepared they'd have a chance to grab victory.

          • Well, seeing as we can't name the Transport, I switch my support to naming the attack on the BBs as "Operation WaterGrogged".

            • DeepO, can we use a settler at Oasis8 instead of Sand8? We will get more slaves if we place it at Oa instead of Sand.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

                • If we go through Sand 8 that means we raze Oasis and abandon Sand. Gives more captured Workers.

If we go through Oasis 8 that means we raze Sand and abandon Oasis. Probably gives us more cash as Oasis should have more improvements.

                  • Just a question... if you plan on razing any of the cities, how do you know you'll be able to built a fort city past them in order to progress further? Wouldn't the tiles be swallowed up by the culture of nearby cities?

So no ww from razing cities with Lego citizens in them? Cool!

When razing, we don't get the unhappiness at all. But we also don't get to sell off improvements. I think captured Workers are more valuable than cash from improvements generally.

Yes, however we already have a lot of workers (those pumps are going to get back to settler action, btw), and everything is already improved. We could use the cash, we still have rifles running around. So if we can work out any kind of deal with GoW, which gives us let's say a third of the Lego slaves, I'd welcome it.

Tarzania: Zargonia, Crossing, Logville, Tiberium, Camp David, Ahhmyfoot
                      Legopolis: Sharpehaven, Kloreep, Invoice

don't forget Panama and Port Hammer, reachable from kloreepville.

We might as well give the "passage" cities we found to GoW to use and can't raze the cities that would be next to them.

As long as they can reach their positions, I wouldn't bother... but that doesn't matter

That means we abandon Quanto, Sand or Oasis, Farmerville, and Red Bricks.

Okay, correct me if I'm wrong, but from any city you get a couple of workers if you abandon them, right? In which case larger cities give you more workers?

                      • On the other hand, with Oasis 8 we could also raze Tarzania and GoW would still have access to all the same cities with Cavalry.

I think Oasis 8 is the right way to go.

Not if you position the settler first... so no razing for those cities.

BF, sorry to fail you, man, but I keep bumping into this bloody 24-hour-per-day barrier these days...

Maybe we could make a deal!

Make GoW and GS turn their legions back home - and I promise to say something in the ISDG forum every single day...

                            • The larger the city the more captured Workers from razing. Not sure exactly how many... something like 1/4 or 1/6?

Okay, I was reading Aeson's post and it mentioned razing Karina... I thought you were going to use it to springboard north, but you could use Nou Camp instead, as I look at the map...
